I had unplugged and put away my HD PVR because for a while I had lost interest in it but then I recently got back into it, I plugged everything up just fine except when I try to plug in the USB to my computer it doesnt show up on my PC, nor the TV. I cant even install the drivers because when it tries uploading it it automatically stops because it recognizes that nothing is plugged in (when it is) Any suggestions?
In theory you should be able to cut the usb off and throw it away. and then find a usb off of something you don't need and solder it on to the pvr wire that you cut.(sorry if this makes no sence thought I would tell you what I usually do with this type of problem) Now to your original question I would just google or type in on ebay HDPVR usb wire.
try going to device manager and seeing if it is appearing, if not then try and re-install the drives that came with it. google how to get to device manager if you don't know.
