Maybe you sign in your live account as the game is booting up, sign out and into your offline account. Then sign out and sign into your live account and before it's signed in pull out the MU? then buy one thing, sign out then back in?

This is a comment made by the Author after someone commented on his video. In my opinion this was a major fluke because in the video his friends are defaulted as you can see they are not ranked and have the default emblem. This leads me to believe they tried what he told them and it didn't work. Besides we was reset anyway so as of now its not undetectable.

Perhaps like modded gamertags on COD.

Legit Profile and Modded Profile.

Log into your profile and go online. Pull Ethernet or disconnect. Then login to the modded account with the credits. The game might not notice as long as it's a copy of your account.

Umm since no one seems to be saying it I'll be the first. I appreciate the feedback you are giving in the effort to help us figure this out. Is it maybe that you need to mod your account and tell the game you want to keep the credits then play a few games of matchmaking and log out of the profile then into another then maybe join a game sign out then sign back in on the main?

Your on the right track. I tried that at first too. What happens is you get reset in the next reset wave that Bungie sets out to do. Once this happens you will become completely reset with no rank.
