Glad I am first here, because it has to be said - 343i have nothing to worry about. Bungie are old news, they did what they did and now, Halo is in the hands of an amazing development team. Watch the E3 footage, then watch it again. Watch it in HD and see what they've done. Hats off to those guys. Hats off to the OP for this article as well. =]
Go ahead and close all those Halo 4 rants in the Halo 4 subforum . 343 is definitely going to please the fans at the least, but knowing how seriously they're taking Halo 4, I'm expecting a stellar Halo from them.
Nice post sharp, I can safety say im not the only guy who's desperate for this game, I know there were loads of doubt for 343 when they got announced as the next halo developers but they are doing a cracking job on the game.
The Campaign looked amazing, but that doesn't excuse what they've been doing to the multiplayer. I will make my final decision during the showfloor reveal of matchmaking.
You like armor abilities? Actually, tell me what you know about weapon loadouts.. When are we actually going to use them because custom games doesn't make any sense and if they are in matchmaking, that takes the feel of Halo away..
I actually wouldn't mind giving this a chance, but like I said, if I like the ranking system, we're all good.
Well, Armor Abilities are apparently greatly nerfed. Jet Pack is now Jump Pack. Sprint is less effective, because you stop when you get shot. Hardlight Shield is the new Armor Lock, and is just a blue shield, similar to a Riot Shield. You can't shoot while using it (I think) and it's very easy to shoot around and throw 'nades behind. Also, loadouts have never really been a problem. How are they so bad? All that means for me is that I never have to use the Assault Rifle ever again...
