1) You get it from your modded dashboard. 2) If you have at least 2 Ethernet ports, or 1 Ethernet port and a USB port, or 1 Ethernet port with a wireless modem and wireless adapter for you PC. 3)Action Replay with one of the 3 exploit games (Splinter Cell, Mech Assault, 007 Agent Under Fire) is the easiest, most cost effective way of softmodding your Xbox.
Stop aksing them for thanks when you're giving out false information. You do not need DSL or internet at all... all you need is a router or a crossover cable. Internet is optional. You need a to transfer files through what is called "FTP" short for File Transfer Protocol. You can use a program like FlashFXP
For one, I wasn't aware that you didn't need internet. Everything I've seen refers to an Internet connection, but I could be wrong. For two, he doesn't have a router, I already asked. For three, what I said wasn't false. Assuming you are correct, you can use Internet to FTP, which means it wasn't false info. For four, why spam up the thread and flame me for no reason? My post is in response to your post, so I don't think it's technically spam, but who knows?

First off, you started this by flaming me. That means you need to grow up. Second, he doesn't have a router and his Xbox is softmodded so he can't FTP anyway. He told me that he wasn't gonna worry about it. Just let the thread die since he has his questions answered. I was NOT wrong in what I told him. What I said is correct, as well as what you said. I soft modded for the cost of a blanck CD-R the more I read about modding the more confusing it got, finally I found this tut Ndure Softmod Through Xboxhdm - Scenyx Entertainment Community (admin this is help not advertising) Its pretty straight forward, I figure it out and I was Noob double 0 zero at that point Two words of advice 1 some of the links for required software are dead but easy to find in google. 2 when downloading the script (installing updated backup script) if your PC keeps making it a IE or firefox file like mine did just save it like it says then start>control panel>folder options>view (tab) then untick the button that says "hide extensions of known file types" and then apply, this will put all file extensions after the file name (so it would be "ndure.html") just click the file name to rename it then delete the .html bit, you computer will grumble asking you are you sure, after which you can undo the folder options so everything looks normal again In summary to do this mod you need to be able to read English, a blank CD-R, a cd writing device (dvd writer/cd writer it doesn't matter) you need the tools to open the xbox (torx bits T20 for opening the xbox T15 for unscrewing the HDD) and the tools to open up the side of you PC (normally a philips or pozi number 2 screwdriver) What you do for this mod is 1 download some software 2 put the files as the tut says 3 write these files to a ISO disc 4 Power down you're PC and remove the HDD ribbon (the one with loads of little wires) 5 power up your xbox wait 5mins (this "unlocks" the xb hdd) 6 power up you're pc set the boot menu (F11 key) to access your CD/DVD drive first don't press return 7 hot swap you're xb hdd to you're free ribbon cable where your pc hdd normally connects 8 put in your ISO disc to the specified CD/DVD drive press enter 9 follow the simple instructions in the tut I recommend printing the tut out (not all of it just pages 8 to 13) so you can read what to do whilst hotswapping and installing on you're xb hdd All in all it took me 2 hours in total including Dling and reading, now that I know what to do it takes less that 1/2 a hour and I charge people $30 (15) for doing it for them.
