Well, the fact that I and many of my friends can play almost daily and not have any issues shows the game isn't "broken". Granted I am on X1, so maybe for the 360, sure. I don't recall you saying anything about next and old gen consoles. I'm sure Rockstar will end up letting the 360 version die off when the time comes. But if that's the case you either deal with it or buy a next gen console. Times are changing man and technology aint going to wait around for whenever you, or whomever decides to upgrade. With all due respect, there is a world of difference between connection issues and glitches. The connection issues are well documented and I'm sure we've all experienced the floating cars and randomly spawning objects we associate with lag. That would lead me to reset my router, not declare the game broken.
The reason I made this thread was because I fear the lack of stability is due to the size of the game. It is expanding, albeit slowly, but there has to be a limit to how big the game can grow. The way GTA:O looks on PS3 today is not the way it looked in 2013. There are problems everywhere with missing or glitched textures, frame rate and more. This, along with the fact Rockstar stated that old-gen consoles can not handle more content, would indicate that the system is at capacity. Now, with GTA V already approaching 10% of the HDD space on an early model PS4/XB1 and exhibiting similar signs of degradation to old-gen, is it conceivable that the game is reaching, for want of a better phrase, 'critical mass'?
There can and will be stability fixes from Rockstar, no doubt, but eventually the game looks set to outgrow current-gen consoles, I hope these aren't the early symptoms of that, but, as a day one player, I have never seen the game as bad as it has been in the last few weeks.
