Hey guys, just wondering this - If I am staring at my computer and don't have my 360 linked to my comp or anything (I'm not much of a computer whiz) how do I use the gibbed editor for 360 with these files? Can someone run me through it please? :smile:

The only way for you to mod the save files is for you to port them to a memory card and connect it to your 360 or to hook your whole HDD (hard drive) up to your computer with a transfer kit. There aren't really any other ways. =/

Great job Gibbed and Xander:thumbup:, I have a question with this save editor, is it possible to edit or replace ability power for ur character. Example Like a soldier class able to use warp or singularity cuz that would be awesome:drool:.

Thanks for a great program! I'm just wondering if it's "done" or will you continue to add features?

One thing I'd like to be able to do is reset the timer for the IFF mission. If you take too long between the IFF and going through the Omega 4 relay some or all of the taken NPC crew dies and I'd like to prevent that (and I don't have any old saves...). At least a flag to set the NPC crew to "alive" on a save game after you've finished the game would be nice (if possible).

Umm... the only reason any of the crew die is because they're either A) Not loyal or B) You don't have the proper ship upgrades. Get those things and they will survive through the end mission.

Also, for the characters at the end pick them in this order.

1st Part of End
Specialist: Legion
Second Squad Leader: Garrus

2nd Part of End
Spcialist: Samara/Morinth
Second Squad Leader: Garrus
Escort: Mordin

I know its a bit cheeky been as though im new here but could someone please give me some noob friendly advice on how to do this? Ive been extracting the save file using le fluffie and using the editor no problem its just putting it all back together again i cant seem to do. Ive tried injecting the edited file back into the main save file but this justs make my 360 crash on the title screen?

please help!!!

You'll also have to rehash/resign the save. You can use Modio for that or Xploder Resigner and Hash Block Calculator. I'd just get Modio from game-tuts.com. Much easier to use. You'll need a GameTuts account, but after that you just load the save up that you injected the file into and then "Rehash and Resign". BAM! Done. Easy as pie. If you have any more troubles, just post back here.

Thought I would register to thank you it works very well. I've tried the obvious changes like minerals and credits and also successfully changed my femsheps iris colour but I cannot for the life of me get the hair morphs to change. I've used the same steps I did for the PC but every time I try and load up my save ( after editing hair mesh and textures) the save file becomes corrupt. Does anyone have any clues as to why? Or has anyone else successfully done it and can they explain how.

He doesnt need to reharsh or resign. Just make sure after you inject the file back just click rebuilld on le fluff and its fine.

These Questions are in regard to the 360 version,

So, is there a list of the weapons text needed to replace them in the Raw section

And how (if possible) can I add ammo capacity/shields etc .

I am familiar with the process on how to do this on the pc version via the ini etc.

Just haven't sussed out how to via the 360 version. ta :tongue:

With Xploder go to the initial 3rd folder and open the one where it says something like " profiles ,saves" etc and then when that loads ( takes a few seconds) open to second folder and scroll down to Mass Effect 2 then open the only available folders and you should have files of your saves like " Infiltrator, James" then just drag and drop it onto your desktop and be sure to make a backup copy in case things go wrong and then edit away!

Btw I still haven't been able to resolve the issue with changing hair modles I'm doing it 100% right I've done it millions of times on the PC version and I've also done some coalesced.ini editing so I know my way about editing nearly everything that is available to knowledge atm yet I'm still running into the error. Could it be possible that because ME2 is on 2 discs that the files aren't present on disc one to change? maybe because the hairstyle im after is only present on Nef which is an available quest on disc 2 there isn't the necessary information on the disc so its picking up nothing hence the error? Or could it just be this part of Gibbed's brilliant editor doesn't work on 360 versions?

All help will be welcomed so far this thread as proved brilliant for problem solving and information regarding this editor keep up the good work :thumbup:

Oh, I don't use that program, so I didn't know. I think it's better just to use Modio. I haven't had any trouble with it at all.

Very good programme, already finished the game before so good fun to play around with it. Is there programmes similar to this for other 360 games?

And thanks to the people that helped me get it working, was injecting the file into the wrong place.

hey, I was wondering if it possible to d/l a ME 1 character and then upload it to the save editor for ME2 so that I can start a new character (that completed the ME1 campaign). My character from ME1 was deleted and I dont want to start a new campaign... so I was basically wondering if there is a file that has a template with all paragon quests completed and finished the game by saving the world so that I can just edit and tweak the appearance/name to my old ME character

What about abilities can i do the same for abilities. Can I replace abilities or powers with another one. Is this possible.

To add/replace another power use this format:

SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_Barrier_Player
Change the bold text to another power.

Powers I found that work so far:
Barrier- Jakob's Loyalty power
Crush- Miranda's Loyalty power
ArmorPiercingAmmo- Garrus's Loyalty power
NeuralShock- Mordin's Loyalty power
Fortification- Grunt's Loyalty power
WarpAmmo- Jack's Loyalty power
Reave- Samara's Loyalty power
AntiOrganicAmmo- Thane's Loyalty power
ShieldJack- Tali's Loyalty power
GethShieldBoost- Legion's Loyalty power


***NOTE*** I have only gotten the loyalty powers to work (I even added ALL of them to 1 character, mind you, you can only have 2 bonus powers work because of the 8 power slot limit on the power wheel).

Ok only loyalty powers that awesome man, i tried to get powers like warp or singularity to work but i dont think its possible.
