    EDIT NEW QUESTION

This is probably an embarrassingly stupid question but flux is used for Getting the wires to stick yeah? If so, What do you use, Liquid Flux, Flux Paste or Rosin Flux?

Rosin flux paste. Radioshack sells some for cheap. If you already burned off DB1F1, you need to use TF1U2, or another alternative, or aud_clamp SMC.

That's for re-flowing, not sure how it would work for regular soldering. Look for paste.

This is what I use, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rosin-Soldering-Flux-Non-Spill-Paste-RadioShack-/120691916681?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item1c19cc7f89
