IF you are unfortunate to get the dreaded christmas lights and you dont have a lpt or usb spi devise all is not lost.

    1. Rename your original nand or xbr image to updflash.bin
    2. Put it on a usb drive that is formatted to FAT32
    3. plug it into your 360 and turn console on with the eject button
    4. let xell do its update
    5. Unplug back power cables for about 30 seconds.
    6. plug every thing back in and you should be greeted with the dashboard. :)

Great tutorial. And by the way, that file should be renamed as updflash.bin not udflash.bin

Just thought I'd point that out B)

Could have made it simple instead of a huge paragraph.

    1. Rename your Freeboot image to updflash.bin
    2. Put it on a usb drive that is formatted to FAT32
    3. Unplug back power cables for about 15 seconds.
    4. Plug them back in along with the usb drive.
    5. Start 360 with eject button and let Xellous update.

This was happening to me too, Im gonna tell you what once a great man by the name of Dwack told me. "Turn your xbox off, unplug it. then insert usb. plug it back in and boot to xell". It works and I can vouch for it!
