(8.5) Graphics: With similar graphics to the first Borderlands, Borderlands 2 introduces different environments which are relatively eye-pleasing, as well as appealing effects for the guns, enemies, elementals, and other instances in game. Borderlands is the type of game that doesn't need to have super HD graphics and textures to be enjoyed, but instead makes up for it in the attention to detail on the gameplay aspect. (8.5) Presentation: With simple, yet appealing menus, Borderlands 2 merges ease of access with simple aesthetics providing a menu system which is easy for people to use. The game also provides hints and tutorials for those who have not played the previous, or those who wish to brush up on their skills. (9) Gameplay: The game takes the "If it isn't broken, don't fix it" approach when it comes to gameplay. Relying heavily on the system from Borderlands 1, the game introduces the new "Badass" system, as well as several other features which come together to provide a well-rounded gaming experience. (9.5) Playability: From the main storyline the many many sidequests in the game, you'll find yourself spending hours upon hours playing this game either by yourself, or with friends. Finding better and better loot is one of the driving factors when playing the game, so expect to spend some time getting through the game. After you've completed you first playthrough, you've got the option to go through again with all of your loot, but with stronger enemies, much like the new game + option in the first game. Of course, there are three other characters that you can use if you don't wanna stick with the same one on another playthrough. All in all, the game is great. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes FPS games, and to all those who played the first. It still offers the same high-octane action as the first, while introducing new features which add to the lasting appeal of the game. Even with a few disappointing aspects such as the same vehicle system which wasn't great in the first one, everything else pretty much makes up for it, making the experience an overall great one. Defo wont regret it as my aim is still to get 100% in both borderlands 1 and 2 cheevos and im 3 quaters done for borderlands 1
Hah! I just got my Ganeinformer magazine and found that they gave Borderlands 2 a 9.75. I will definitely be picking it up soon. By the way who's going to pick this up for PC? With the scores I'm hearing I want a group to play with.
I think PC will have mods for the graphics which will enhance them essentially. I definitely want to see some gameplay with these mods
