I heard from a source that the fourth wave in the GameStop Black Ops 2 pre-order program Is going to be an online multiplayer beta. The fourth wave will be released on October 8th, let's hope this is true.
It's definitely not confirmed... I'd say it's highly unlikely. They haven't released a multiplayer beta since World at War.
I did some searching and I couldn't find anything on the matter. What's your source? There was one for Black Ops, it just wasn't released
He said that it wasn't released. Beta's are made for all games, they just aren't released. Way back when black ops 2 was announced, mark lamia said that there will be no public beta for black ops 2 and he had good reasoning behind it. Them changing their mind most likely wont happen.
Well the Black Ops beta actually had online servers for XBL and it had an ending date which I found odd if it was never meant to be released.
I only pre-ordered the Hardened Edition because I want "NUKETOWN ZOMBIES & NUKETOWN 2025" So what are waves? Like does it not apply to me because I'm getting the Hardened Edition?
It doesn't pertain to you then. It's for the standard editions. If you pre-order from Gamestop at a certain time, then you'll get a certain reward, the per-order bonus. These bonuses come in waves. The next wave will be wave 4, which no one has any idea what it'll be because there has been no talk / confirmation of it. I highly doubt it'll be a beta though
Ahh it's all good... Thanks anyways I found out that it doesn't apply to me since I pre-ordered the Hardened Edition Thanks M0D1F13DR34L1TY for the info
Wait, so since you pre-ordered a higher cost item from Treyarch you won't get a potential multiplayer beta oppurtunity? So if I want these bonuses I have to get Standard? This is a little confusing.
no, Nuketown come in all the waves, plus in waves 1-3 they come with extra items, wave 4 only comes with nuketown
I heard it from a couple people, but who knows if it's true. It does make sense though, if its released in October, that allows one month of playing time. What else would they give?
