H2 Ocular Description: Like Viprone, this tool makes every non-host player able to see your projectile swaps. Only one difference, this tool does it right. You can apply visibility before, after, or while you mod your map. H2 Ocular has hours of research behind it. Much different than Viprone; Viprone takes meta from the rocket launcher. H2 Ocular changes one Int32 value that makes the projectile visible. All research was done by myself. This tool works 100% on every weapon, and does them all 100% properly. Trust me, your going to be happy. Tutorial: 1. Open your map in H2 Ocular (File->Open) 2. Check each weapon you want to make visible(to non-host players) 3. Go to: Queue -> Engage Visible 4. This is for Halo 2 right? If so, I thought the servers got taken down? Either way this looks very promising ^^.
Cool. Just gotta say whenever I see your work, It inspires me to learn C Programming as much as I can!
This makes it so all non-host players can see projectile swaps (other than rocketlauncher & plasma pistol). But this does it properly. Before, all programs that did this would copy the proj meta chunks from the rocket launcher, and paste it over the weapon. The problem with that, is that the rocket launcher proj meta is different than another weapons, so you will loose some dependencies and create new meta values. Which was completely improper and was sometime rather risky to do to a modded map. The thing about H2 Ocular, is that I myself went in to a hex editor with a map and researched in great detail all about the rocket launcher meta, and I found the ONE value (Int32) that holds the tells the the h2 network engine weather the proj chunk is loaded from the host or not. So, by finding this value, I can properly make projectiles for non-host players visible. It took a long night and about 7 straight hours of researching. With MANY play tests. So Please, remember what it actually takes to make this program.
I have to say I am quite impressed by this actually I only just noticed it now even though you released it in March xD BTW weren't there similar flags on the plasma pistol where people could see texture mods?
I think it is funny ironic... There was always a limit since others couldn't see proj mods. But this changed that, but it was too late in the scene... :/
