II. Guides/Tutorials
1. How to play PokeMMO:
I. What is PokeMMO?
PokeMMO is, obviously, a Pokemon MMO based on the Pokemon games: Fire Red and Leaf Green. It's exactly the same game, the only difference is that there's a bunch of random players to interact with. You can chat, trade, battle and even form teams, known in the MMO side as "guilds".

II. How to download PokeMMO?
a. Create an account HERE.
b. Download the game HERE.
c. Download FireRed ROM (required)
d. Download SoulSilver ROM (optional: for making Pokemon follow you)

III. Starting to play:
a. When you open the game, you're supposed to see a window like this one, which tells you to prompt your username and your password, both created in step II.a
370bd313593cd5b5dbee32bfd8a69e23.png
b. Once logged in, it should show you the list of servers, in which there's only one.
6f010af9c56a9d396525cabb6af2329d.png
c. If you have followed every step, then you're supposed to be in the character creation screen, which looks like this:
21aedd2ca8bec0aefdf6dbb808a4b5ae.png
d. After you have created your character, you should see him/her in a screen, just like the following one:
4f3ddb5b84ebbfc6636ffe0ee2f708c9.png
e. Click on the character that you wish to play, and you will be taken to the world of PokeMMO:
b24573c5b57245ecacb4a063764373df.png
f. After this, if you have played Pokemon before, you'll know what to do, since it's the same game story as the original games.

IV. Interface:
a. Chat: You can chat with other players via:
1. Trade: A channel to look/offer trades to other players.
2. Channel: A channel to chat with all the players in your current channel.

3. Best way to level up your Pokemon from Lv.40+:
If you're like me, and were having problems leveling up your Pokemon from Lv.40+ then I have a solution for you. Both of these methods were tested while having a Lucky Egg equipped, if you don't have one, exp gained will vary.

I. Giovanni
Hopefully you haven't beaten Leader Giovanni, the last one. (If you did, then just skip to Part II) If you go and challenge Giovanni, you will rack up 11k exp by just beating the first 4 Pokemon.
Warning: Do not beat the 5th one! Just exit PokeMMO after Giovanni has sent out his 5th Pokemon.

II. Cooltrainers in Seven Island
If you defeated Giovanni, there's nothing to be afraid of, there's still some chance to level your Pokemon! For this, you will have to travel to Seven Island. If you go South of the Pokemon Center, you will be in route to Sevault Canyon. You need to go to this location in your Map:
150c740819377b702ffea21f50a9f21d.png
Once you're there, you will want to look for these trainers:
cbb5456340c8d46d86bd65326e9a74a1.png
Once you've found them, they boy in the left will give you 8k exp by beating his 4 first Pokemon, and the girl to the South will give you 10.6k exp by beating her 4 first Pokemon.

*If you fight the South Cooltrainer with a Pokemon Lv.100 and the Pokemon you desire to lvl up holding the EXP Share, he will get 3,533 XP. Yes, that's without the Lucky Egg and not involved in Battle

Note: Do NOT faint* the last Pokemon of Giovanni or the Cooltrainers, as this will just make them not fight you for 24 hours, if you have the VS Seeker. Just beat every Pokemon but the last one, then just exit the game by clicking on the X at the top right of yout game screen. Come back again and you will be at the last Pokemon Center you went to, from here repeat the steps I or II.

*This only works on PokeMMO. Don't try this on retail/emulator games as you have to save your game for it to stick.
4. Fast way to farm starters:
There's currently some ways to do this, one being: creating multiple accounts, but the downside is that the OT will probably be a random name generated by you instead of your main username. With this in mind, here's a better way to do so, which is in the casino

Steps:
  1. Buy 1k coins (which will cost you $20k)
  2. Play in the casino until you have reached 1,500 coins.
  3. Go to the exchange house and pick up your starter.
  4. Rinse and repeat.
Complains:
  1. 1k coins it's just too expensive! - Beat the E4 with Amulet Coin = 100k+
  2. Why not make multiple accounts? It's faster! - It might be faster, but if you manage to get a shiny or good competitive Pokemon, the OT will probably be a random name instead of your character's name
5. How to EV train a Pokemon: (By VinnyHaw VinnyHaw )
6. How to earn $1m+ each day:
Things needed:

  2. Lv.100 Persian
  3. PayDay (Move)
  4. VS. Seeker
  5. Leppa Berries (Not needed, but useful)

7. Theory on how to catch a Chansey:
Well, there's no actual way on how to successfully catch a Chansey, but I do know there are some theories, on of them being the one I will show you.

When you encounter Chansey, you immediately think in throwing a bait, so it stays longer in the fight. When you throw a bait, you actually wasted 1 oportunity to catch Chansey with your first Safari Ball, which is 1%. On the other hand, when you throw a bait, the Pokemon usually stays for longer periods in the fight, which makes your chances to capture it, higher. So, if you find a Chansey and throw a Safari Ball as your first option it may: 1) flee or 2) watch you carefully. If #1, you're out of luck. If #2, throw a bait. After throwing a bait, throw 2 balls. (Chansey shouldn't had fled yet) After the 2nd ball, throw a bait again, so it stays for a little longer. If you throw 2 more balls and Chansey doesn't get caught, you're a bad Pokemon Trainer like Red Red , nah, joking, if you didn't got to capture Chansey yet, just rinse and repeat: Bait, Ball, Ball, Bait, Ball, Ball...

I hope this theory helps someone and you actually get to capture a Chansey with a Lucky Egg, or even more, a Shiny Chansey with a Lucky Egg
8. Changing Channels:
A channel is more like a server. There are Channels which are too high populated and therefore, the game lags a bit. I preffer to play in Channel 7 or 8, which tend to be empty or way less populated. You can access the Channel window by going to the Menu (bottom right corner) and then clicking on Change Channel. After you clicked on Change Channel, choose the desired channel in the top tab, and then click on change. Done, you changed Channels
9. Using an Xbox Controller to play PokeMMO: (By Pornflakes)
For those of you who would like to play pokemon with a controller instead of the keyboard, its not a hard process and it really makes the controls useable. So, first you need to get a program called Xpadder. I believe it is a paid program, but it can be a "acquired" quite easily with a quick torrent search, if you are having trouble, feel free to shoot me a pm.

Go through the installation process.Once you’ve finally gotten to the main screen of the program, it’s time to actually create our button layout. First, click the small game pad icon in the top left-hand corner and choose “new” from the drop down menu. A new windows should appear — this is the “Controller Settings” panel.
2013-06-26_2042.png

Next you will want to select an image of your controller, you can find your controller on the database. **You WILL need a usb connected controller or a receiver to connect your controller.**

After you click the “Enabled” check box, the program will ask you to press the stick in certain directions. It’s fairly straightforward, so just do as Xpadder tells you. Before moving on, make sure you remember to enable the right analog stick if you would like to use it.
2013-06-26_2046.png

Next up is button configuration. Press each button on your controller, one at a time, to add them to the controller layout. As you press the buttons, make sure you are dragging and dropping each indicator to the corresponding location on the image. If you’re configuring an Xbox 360 controller (or most other modern controllers, for that matter), make sure you don’t forget to click each analog stick as well.

Now that you’ve configured the controller completely, click the “Ok” button. The next step is configuring each button to be bound to a certain key on the keyboard. In this instance i'll be showing you my Pokemmo controller setup. Or you can download it here.
2013-06-26_2048.png

I dont use the thumbsticks as Xpadder is pretty sensitive about the "slop" in your joystick, so if its not a brand new controller it will probably walk when you dont want it to. I use X on the right trigger to be able to run easily. I use esc on the left trigger to stop any bots that may be running. I use B on x to bring up my bag. Basically go to your Pokemmo controls and set it up how you would like it. Be sure to save this controller layout. You can have multiple controller layouts for different games or uses. If you need anything at all, feel free to post here or shoot me a pm.

Im glad my 5000th post could be placed on such a great thread. Latios Latios Red Red Rally you guys have brought this game into this section with great success so far, heres to the next 500 pages hahah.
