    Well Microsoft would just own a majority share in Activision. It wouldn't be that Microsoft owns Call of Duty. If Microsoft buys Activision then I highly doubt that Microsoft would become the publisher. Just like no one has heard of Vivendi. They will just own the company, not become the producer and a big part in making the games.

    I think it would be genius for M$ to buy them out. If they control the CoD franchise they could release CoD only on their next gen console. That would be a HUGE deciding factor for people buying a new console next year.
