I think its pretty sweet besides the rough looking shell.. and its actually thinner than the 360!

Why it is the same price as the 80gb? Wouldn't it be more since its newer and has a bigger HDD?

The idea is to sell off the old 80Gb ones and completely replace it. Personally I think the new ones look like utter ****. I am glad I got one of the old ones.

I love how sony has done this with EVERY console ****ING EVER. Ever seen a N64 slim or a Xbox slim? No. Also, OPTIONAL vertical stand for 24 ****ING DOLLARS? FAILURE!

They always use these redesigns as a sort of relaunch if you will to spark those who didnt want to buy one before. And for some reason it always works. It worked with the PS1, PS2 , and PSP. And I believe it will work again.
