Xbox 360 price getting slashed to $299?

"Premium" console could be getting price cut in the near future

Some very juicy pre-E3 news has possibly hit the 'net earlier today. A picture of a K-Mart ad shows the Xbox 360 20GB version at a "New Low Price" of $299. The ad is set to circulate in July 6 newspapers, which is the Sunday after next. Though price cuts have been anticipated, there isn't any word on the status of the prices for the Arcade, Elite, and all consoles overseas.

It's not too late, as there are many people out there who have been holding out on a 360 until a price drop like this.

Yeah, this would be pretty tight if they lowered the price down to $299.

this looks pretty good for the average consumer. complete system, not the bare bones "arcade". and its only $50 more than that non- gamer friendly and oh so elusive Wii.
