Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division Prez says there are no plans for Blu-ray coming to the 360, or a Zune Phone

Another day, another Xbox 360 - Blu-ray rumor. Like all the past ones, this one has been denied too. Robbie Bach, Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Divison President came out and said that there isn't going to be a Blu-ray Xbox 360, ever. He also told SFGate that there isn't going to be a Zune Phone, but a touchscreen Zune is a possibility in the near future. Are the Blu-ray rumors ever going to end? You decide.

I wouldn't mind a Blu-Ray 360 or an external drive....but I doubt a conglomeration between MS and Sony will ever exist....

They are shooting themselves in the foot if they don't make a Blueray 360/addon.

Microsoft should buy the drives/tech from Panasonic or Samsung, to avoid the royalties.
I wouldn't buy a BD addon or 360 just because optical media is not hot at all, and when i want to watch movies I can just go on On Demand.

That's right microsoft.. Pretend that bluray isn't going to take off. One thing is for sure, they will be featuring a bluray drive in the next xbox. Guaranteed.

That's how DVD was when it first came out too. I remember thinking I would never throw out my VCR player back in the day just because DVDs were too expensive.Now you can grab a dvd player for 20 bucks.
