Microsoft confirms official support of Blu-ray

Microsoft goes Blu

It's been bandied about before, but now we have real word from Microsoft that they are indeed going to be supporting the defacto winner of the format war. With Sony saying that they were "in talks" with Microsoft, and a clam-like strategy being adopted by Microsoft, no one was quite sure just how spited they were towards Blu-ray. This is just the confirmation of things, though, with Microsoft admitting that it is trying to figure out the best way to connect with Blu-ray, and that it is working on different ways to integrate the Blu-ray devices and technology into Microsoft products across the board, including Windows.

I can't remember the last time I paid for a dvd... But have you ever tried to download a bluray disk? There's like 80 links. I'd rather pay for it lol.

well idk if its like a movie i really ike (doubtful) then yea ill buy it, but if its just like a movie i wanted to see, hey, why not preview it first haha

Yeah seriously, a few Blu-Ray movies will Max out your RS account. Then you need a Blu-Ray burner (or just stream them)

Finally we can say...XBOX 360 IS BETTER THAN PS3!!!!!!! *HINT* Cause all PS3 had over xbox 360 was their Blue-Ray yet 360 was still better but now its officially better!

i still wont get one im fine with regular dvd id rather get free regular dvd then buy a 300 dollar player + cd and if i want to burn them i need a blu ray burned witch im sure arnt cheep and neather are the disk

This reminds me of when DVD's first came out and everyone said the same thing.. "I'm going to stick with my VHS because dvds cost too much and the quality is fine for me."

Go to a place like bestbuy and watch a bluray movie... They pwn dvd's so bad.

technically the ps3 eats the 360 alive in every hardware aspect. so even if the 360 gets a blu-ray players .. the ps3 will still process circles around the 360

I probably will still "get" regular DVDs , until i see that it is indeed really good. First i need a really good HD LCD TV then i will base it off of that. I still don't know, what happens if it dies like HD DVDs? Then well be like, wow what a waste of our money! I'll have to look into it, and how much will Blu-Rays DVDs cost? like $40.00? I would rather waste it on a new game then a stupid movie i can just download. I like my games to look good, don't really care for movies, i mean, i sit far back from the TV, so how can you really tell?
There aren't that many good movies anyways..
