Blu-Ray can hold more per layer (15GB for HD DVD, 25GB for BD), they use different DRMs, HD DVD is region free, and they use different technologies for interactive features (HD DVD uses HDi, while BD is based on Java).

I was just @ Best Buy and i check out the Blu-Ray section and i dont like it. I never seen blu-ray in action til now. Its to sharp and it feels like im next to the camera crew. I dont like that quality, its way to perfect. DVDs FTW

Too perfect? I don't see how that could be a problem.. But then again, I haven't seen either one in action yet.

Well, i thought it was just going to be sharp but it was like SUPER PERFECT sharp. Imagine Cloverfield on a Blu-Ray disk, ew.

Now i dont own HD DVD nor a Blu Ray Player so i didnt have the chance to experience the quality of both of them, so my question: Is there a HUGE difference between regular DVDs and HD/Blu-Ray?

MS wont build a built in blu-ray player.. not for a while at least. They currently have 3 SKU's on the market, and supposedly the Elite is selling like hotcakes.. with 4 SKU's.. there is bound to be a loss of sales : /

add on it is.

more pixels, give it better lighting and the shadows and everything is "Crisper"
I watch hd channels on espn and stuff.. then watch a hd-dvd, quality is just better, you can tell, but it also depends on the type of HDTV you have..

Yes. LMAO. Dvd's are SD and HDDVD/BLU-RAY are HD.

those stores turn the stuff on super bright, super high contrast.. it looks alot better in your house when your TV settings are set correctly.

lol yes... I know!

and agree with gamby.. it looks better in a small enclosed place.. taking in your lighting and all that, plus they really do try and make the tv picture look better, when it might look worse.

Personally I could not care if they made one but if they do then that is great for those people who either don't have a PS3 or Blu-Ray player. For 360 it has been about the games for me and with my PS3 I really mainly use that for Blu-Ray movies.
