Analysts: 360 sales going up, will outsell PS3 through holidays

Xbox 360 will continue to outsell PS3 through the holidays

Oh, analysts. Always predicting such crazy things. Who doesn't love 'em? Why, just recently they predicted that the PS3 would outsell the Xbox 360 in July. Now that the July NPD numbers are out, we know that turned out not to be true, but that doesn't mean we aren't frothing at the mouth to hear the next prediction. Having seen that the 360 still managed to outsell Sony's wonder machine, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter expressed his surprise to Gamastura, noting that "Xbox 360 demand was far stronger than we expected this month." He further noted that he had expected sales to decline on news of the Xbox 360's apparent reliability problems and the PS3 price reduction. Seeing that such wasn't the case, Pachter predicts that Xbox sales will increase, as "the warranty issue appears to be of little concern to consumers, and the recent price cut should stimulate demand." The fantasy game exchange market simExchange agreed with Pachter's predictions, and further noted that they expect the Xbox 360 to outsell the PS3 "every month through the holidays." The group based this prediction on their own predicted lifetime sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

This can almost be considered a DURR fact. I mean, come on. The PS3 lost all it's exclusives at E3 and what did M$ do at their press conference? Display ALL THESE no longer exclusive games.

That and the fact that it's consideably more expensive, halo3 is coming out, (is halo wars? if so there's another reason), you have 4 versions of the 360 and possibly an ultimate. There's more accessories ETC to make people feel like they got everything they need. I mean all the ps3 has now is teh web browser (which is considered a SLOW LOADING DSL PAGE ...ew) and that home.. which quite frankly.. I'd rather play sims than have that.

I agree. People told me to get a ps3 because of my ROD issue.

I would have assumed most people who are gonna buy 360's own them by now, which is why ps3 might outsell them, but with all the new boxes it shud help,

o and i RoD with 1 day left in my warranteee, oh yeh!

i bought a extended warete when i got min i extended it to a year (at that time it was only a 3 month) and now the keep updating it and its reseting every time im up to a 4 year warentee that means i was covered for 6 years which means im gunna have the next gen xbox and my old one will still be covered
