They are also talking about people who used HDDhacker to use external hard drives made by western digital as their primary HDD.

what does it matter if you got a 1TB for your 360? you can only use 120gb of it so its kind of a waste... (at least untill the modern warfare 360 with the 250gb hdd comes out and someone figures out how to format it higher.)

also the 120gb M$ hdd is only like $130 USD.

ONLY 130 for a ****ing hard drive? i can buy a 1tb for 80$ so 130 is a little ridiculous. well i dont even use my mu but mine is built in lol so not much use for it anyways

When i said "only $130" i didn't mean it like it was cheap (or even fair...) but rather stating that it is not the $300 that he mentioned.

Re: Xbox 360 system update to remove support for unauthorized storage devices

I love how I can go and buy a WD-320-gb sata for $70 and here m$ is selling their hd for $120. Highway Robbery but you know, noone cares! Its M$'s way of ripping people off and forcing them to only use m$ licensed hardware. Somewhere along the lines theyll figure it out so that it replicates this so called licensed hardware and well have no problem. But im still good anyways since i have a transfer kit.

Exactly why this wont stop HDD upgrades. They are modded to mimick the licensed drive. Really wont be much difference.

Yeah i don't think this is for HDD's because it specifically says 'memory units' in that article. It never mentions anything about HDD's except that if you have a profile on an unlicensed MU you should transfer it back asap.
