Consoles with leaked NXE update disable Xbox Live until the 19th

Any unauthorized consoles with the New Xbox Experience won't be able to sign on until Nov. 19

Major Nelson handed out some bad news for those who have updated their consoles with the leaked New Xbox Experience. Any unauthorized consoles that have the leaked update won't be able to sign in until November 19- the date the update comes out to everyone else. This doesn't apply to those who are part of the Preview Program, whose consoles will still function normally with the update. So, if you're thinking of updating your console with the leaked verision, you'll need to think to yourself: can you last 18 days without Xbox Live?

I updated mine but I don't really care that much. I have to really stay focused on school right now and 18 days without live will help. It's a cool update but it's not that good unless you can sign in on live and well....you can't

Usually I do support their products and what they do, but I think they are just being stupid with this new update and the fact that they call it a new "Experience" just sounds pretty lame if you ask me.. I updated... I can live a few days without some dumb online video game play...

i don't think the real danger here is living without XBL.

I mean, what if Microsoft purposely changes something in the update at the last minute so that the people who installed the leaked NXE wouldn't have it? This would also provide for a way to easily identify and ban the consoles that installed the NXE early.

Download the update from RS or anywhere else, then save it on a USB stick or a blank CD, then put it in your xbox and let it update.

i suggest people don't use the nxe update because ms might actually ban for this. they know who they allowed into the program.

I unplugged my ethernet cable cable before i installed it. Hopefully when i put it in on the 19th i wont get in troubles

There not going to ban us for having the leaked update they said it pretty much themselves that we are not going to be online till the 19th not going to ban us for it they dont really care that we have it they just want the people who got preview to have it with their advantages of getting lucky to get it. if they wanted to ban us they would have done it already for us. Ms is not as much as an A$$hole as we may think.. like really you need to do some more then just having a new dashboard to get banned.. you need to do some serious work to do it

So no, you can't say that yet.
And yes, you may all very well get banned on the 19th.

But you all decided to be impatient and not that I am saying its what you deserve, but you shouldn't be complaining about it and actually take responsibility.
