Infinity Ward is on board for Call of Duty 6

Call of Duty 4 producer Infinity Ward is onboard for World at War's sequel, will Treyarch produce Call of Duty 7?

With Treyarch's still a ways off, we're already talking about Call of Duty 6. IGN has confirmed that Infinity Ward -- most recently behind Call of Duty 4 -- will once again take up the reigns for the sixth installment in the series. IGN speculates that Call of Duty 6 is not the Infinity Ward sci-fi shooter that was rumored earlier this year, though there is no way to be certain. Whatever the setting, we're sure fans will be excited to see what Infinity Ward has in store.
And now, to close this post, allow us to make some predictions. One, Call of Duty 6 will release in time for the holiday season 2009. Two, Treyarch will be behind Call of Duty 7 and, furthermore, Call of Duty 7 will release in time for the holiday season 2010.

Oh for sure! Just how things run now and how companies are finding ways to run more efficient and better with more content in games. I think next fall and 2010 will be much different than now. Technology is not only getting better faster but at an exponential pace.

Isnt Final Fantasy working on number 13 right now?

I wouldnt be surprised if they make a 7th one at all, simply because CoD sells and well at that. It is nice to see Infanity ward is definately back for number 6 they seem to have a good track record with CoD.

Who agrees that we need something different, besides current and past wars? (CoD4 was a current war, it wasn't based off of Iraq, but I know that some of the things were inspired by it.)

I think COD would lose most of it's appeal if they went sci-fi. But I do agree that they needs to stop going back to ww2. I've said it before and I still think they should make like an imaginary war. Lets say, the US vs Russia. Or the US vs China. And they could come out with new weapons that aren't necessarily sci-fi but rather realistic weapons that aren't yet in production.

CoD4 was US vs Russia? As I recall..

Also, I think that they should take some of the weapons from the show Future Weapons, and add them to the game. Their real weapons, so they could stick to the realism, right? Think about it, they have some awesome things on there, why not look at that, and put them into the game.

We need a war IN THE USA! In one of our major cities, or multiple cities.

We've NEVER had a game like that before, their all in different countries, or made up cities. So why not have the USA get invaded for once?...

That's more or less what Halo 3 is.

Have I missed a release or is CoD5 not even out? Any news on it?
