Call of Duty: World at War Beta Announced

CoD5 beta to launch sometime this October

Activision and Treyarch just made a statement earlier today announcing a beta for Call of Duty: World at War, and also the projected retail launch for the game. The beta should be available sometime in October, while the game itself will launch on November 11. If you are interested in the beta, go to Call of Duty, World at War to register and get a token there, or sign up at any Gamestop store. The beta will be for the Xbox 360 and the PC.

Jeez how many call of duty games are they going to release in a year?! It seems like last year (almost) that COD4 came out, and now the beta for the new one is going public soon? Now dont get me wrong, the COD series is Ok. I didnt like the first or second, the third one was fine and the fourth one was great! But I swear how do they manage to do this? At least its not some developers who half-*** games and release them too soon.

two companies develop them. 1 & 2 were developed by Infinity Ward, 3 was developed by Treyarch. They're both owned by Activision. While 3 was being produced, IW was developing CoD4. Now CoD5 is a Treyarch release.
Basically two companies develop the games alternatively which allows them to release pretty much every year while still producing great quality games.

if i wat u said is true then iw would of made cod1 treyarch would of made 2 iw would of made 3 treyarch would of made 4 and iw would of made 5.
Maybe they like rock paper scissored tho on the 2nd one and iw won

No i'm guessing they didn't think of the alternative thing until cod3, or maybe they didn't want treyarch and COD2 cos they suck at quality games. Fun, but buggy as hell and bad voice acting and cheesy scenes(COD3)
