Microsoft Slashes Japan Xbox 360 Prices

Price cuts go into effect on September 11

By now everyone knows that Microsoft has plans to cut prices here in the US, but Microsoft suprised everyone by dropping prices in its weakest market, Japan. A few weeks ago a Xbox 360 was hard to find in Japan; the popular RPG Tales of Vesperia, a 360 exclusive, caused the small stocks to run dry. Microsoft has dropped the Arcade to ¥19,800 ($182), from ¥27,800 (about $256), while the 60GB will fall to ¥29,800 ($277) and the Elite goes to ¥39,800 ($369). Microsoft will also undercut the hometown-hero Wii in Japan too, offering up the least expensive 7th-gen console. The price cuts will go into effect a couple days after the US ones do, on September 11.

But on the brighter side... Cosmetic mods might become cheaper because of this?

Unless your playing at 5 in the morning i highly doubt you will ever get matched up with "Japs"
