$199 Arcade to come with motion-sensing controller?

Microsoft wants to directly compete with Wii, possibly adding motion sensing controller to $199 Arcade bundles

We've heard separate rumors about the price cut (which is all but confirmed) and a motion sensing controller or Wiimote style controller for the Xbox 360. According to Xbox 360 Fanboy, they've gotten an insider tip from someone at Microsoft's marketing department that Microsoft will offer up a Xbox 360 Arcade bundle that will pack a motion sensing controller, the preloaded 512MB memory card, some motion-controlled mini-games developed by Rare, and the Fall dashboard update. The new controller will also work with all other consoles, and will sold seperatley in a bundle that will have a couple more motion controlled games. The bundle would launch around this holiday season, not on September 7 when the Arcade price is cut to $199. This rumor also brings up the thought that the standard Arcade bundle could get cut to an even lower price, though it's likley it will probably be cut in place for the rumored one.

they're probly trying to get a lot of sales this christmas with all these different deals and new stuff there coming out with

Yeah video game sales are huge around the holidays, they're definitely thinking Christmas....

I'm not sure I believe the thing about motion sensing controllers, but the price drop is still pretty sweet.

Hopfully Nintendo can atleast get out some wiis during christmas break other wise M$ is taking over

How do they keep lowering the price? Wont they be loosing money cuz they lowered like all 3 systems

Anyone know how much it is for them to manufacture them?

They have been shrinking the CPU and GPU sizes, and over time technology becomes less expensive.

how will the motion senser effect the games like they will have to make them compatible with the old games

I don't think they will make them compatible with most of the old games, if they do it won't be a lot of them and it will be update style. There will probably be more specific and basic games to use the motion sensor controller. I personally like the normal controller, represents the evolution of controlling video games over time without moving much .

Halo 3 motion controll.. XD You have to swing the controller for melee..

That would just come for a lot more broken TVs..

They'd have to make title updates for old titles if they wanted to implement the feature. I doubt they will add it to old games unless they are still big hits or would really benefit from the feature.

lol, i always wanted to play halo 3 with a wii-mote, i wonder (if the thing is real) if its gonna have a sensore bar, or some kind of short range GPS like device, that would send the exact posistion of the controler to the xbox....
