Japanese Xbox 360 stocks running dry

Microsoft's console completly sold out in Japan

In a very odd event, the Xbox 360 has completely sold out in Japan. Microsoft issued an apology on their Japanese web site, telling Japanese consumers that they're working on replenishing the stock as soon as possible. One would almost never think the Xbox 360 would sell out in the homeland of the PS3 and Wii, but recently released 360 exclusive Tales of Vesperia is most likley the reason for the huge jump in demand for the console. This comes after NPD reports showed that the PS3 was outsold by the Xbox 360 last week, almost tripling up the number of PS3s sold. It isn't good news for Japanese consumers wanting in on the Xbox 360 experience, but it's high fives all around for Microsoft.
