Instruments for Guitar Hero: World Tour, Rock Band 2, and Rock Revolution must be cross-compatible, Microsoft says

Microsoft made an announcement that can finally put an end to instrument Yahtzee for users of multiple musical games. Many thought that Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments would work right out of the box with both games, but users found themselves stuck in musical instruments trying to get them to be interoperable. For the next upcoming games, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Rock Band 2, and Rock Revolution, each games instruments must be compatible with every game. This is a blessing for many, as now you aren't required to buy a different set of instruments for each game. Microsoft should had thought of this long ago, along with the game developers to prevent the confusion that landed when Rock Band was launched.

The article says that only Guitar Hero Wold Tour, Rock Band 2, and Rock Revolution instuments must work together. No idea if Rock Band 1 instruments or previous Guitar Hero instruments are part of the requirements.

Finally, GH/RB Cross Instruments, I have a stock of em' it sucks I spent more money than my 360 cost's on those stupid litle toys. I never knew Microsoft had a brain, it shows in Vista, full of errors, and nice interface. So that mean's that Microsoft's Brain could maybe make it past Homer's from the Simpsons!!! >.< !!!
