The only problem i have with this is that its going to attract more little kids to play gears and there goes our ears when we play online.(because they are going to be so high pitched)

Well maybe not if parents will monitor if the games are suitable for their 10 year olds but idk. The voices remind me of Alvin and the Chipmunks lol.

Re: Gears 2 lets mommy filter out blood and swearing

While I understand why they put this in the game, I still think it's a stupid idea. Any parent who is a parent would clearly look at a game and determine if it is right for their child. Any parent who complains that a game has too much blood and isn't good for their little children can't really complain because they made the decision to buy an M-rated game for their child and then they made the decision to either play it while the children are around, or to let the child play it.
My parents don't let me play M-rated games because they strictly believe that M-Rated means that it's illegal and a freakin sin if I play them while im not 17 years of age. I do believe that parents should in fact monitor their kids and make a good decision of what is good for their children and what isn't instead of just being lazy and complaining when some game isn't good enough for their child.

It's like if a parent bought a pr0n dvd and gave it to his child (or in some cases watched it while the children were around). Then he sues the company that made it, all because his child shouldn't be able to see tits. They should be the ones that determine if something is right for their children, not the people that make the game.

Re: Gears 2 lets mommy filter out blood and swearing

I dont know why people are getting so worked up about this stuff. I mean this isnt the first time a game developer has put child filters in M rated games yet no one seemed to care then. For instance the Unreal Tournament games had profanity filters, at least in 2004 and 3 as far as I know. If you don;t like the idea then dont use it I mean it is optional.

A quick google search brings me this:
Are you blind? I just checked.

Options -> Game -> Extreme Content -> Off

Accept the changes, and BOOM.
