Energy Sword projectile

I've tried making my energy sword fling a plasma grenade when you swing it, but every time I try to load it up, the map loads, but its just a black screen.

I've resigned the maps, followed the tutorials, made the projectile visible, what am I doing wrong?

Originally turf. Its my zombie map at the moment, but it would be really funny if the zombie could press "B" and would sling a plasma grenade out of their sword.

actually thats only weap that i cant even skin x)

If you can find a way to make it sling out a plasma, that would be freaking awesome.

i found this:


Make Sword Shoot out a Projectile

1.open either entity or insolence (both will work)and the map your going to mod

2. duplicate the plasma pistol once.

3. okay ur done with that now exit out of entity or incolence and open the map in dothalo

4. now look in the weap tag and u should see the duplicated plasma pitol copy meta offset of it

5. now paste it in to the sword and save changes

6. know the sword should have a bunch of plasam pistol stuff in the depandices box change as much of it back to the sword as u can.

7. know go to the duplicated plasma pistol and look for the projectiles in the dependices box and change those
to what ever u want them to be and save changes.

8. cmr and ftp the map back to ur xbox.

9. enjoy!

Can you give me screenshots of what to set the offsets to? maybe I did it wrong... I want the projectile to be a plasma grenade

did u use dothalo cuz that always messes up my map if i do the slightest thing wrong use entity its the best

The tutorial is for entity AND dothalo.... Anybody have pictures this just isn't working for me

Yes, I did.

I tried it without any other mods, map loaded but never went into connecting phases.

Just a black screen.
