Rainbow Six Vegas: easy way to snipe

this is useful if your down to 1 minute in attack and defend and they have the package.

start or join a game of attack and defend - calypso casino

when they get the package to the roof/taking package to roof get a sniper - PSG-1
go up the right repel when you get off go down the steps and go right, look at the map and you will see the boarder for the steps and platform to the repel. watch the map and walk along the boarder until you get to the part that meets the back wall.
when you get there if you are crouched down and zoomed in you can see the top half of the stairs leading to the roof and if your stood up you can see bottom half leading from middle stairs building.
depending on how good the assault team is you will be here for a while. if you keep getting kills in sucession you are most likely to get found out. if you are here for a while and you get found out no need to worry they will soon forget.
now that you have died get a sv-98 if not high enough rank get scout tactical and go back there. if they are smart enough they will keep watch but when im doing it i just get some one to go up middle stairs or the other repel so i can get back to where i was.
now you've got sv-98/scout its 1-hit KO's if you hit them from the waist up.
you dont have to go when they get the package, you can go when ever you like fell is the best time to go.
this should really help beacuse ive won 5 games through doing this.
it doesnt sound a lot but the xp you get from the sniping does a bit of good.

Does the shots have to be waist up? I guess it's because I've gotten "leg" kills as I call them with my sniper. Maybe because they were wounded already or I basically got lucky. Just curious on that. I mean, I know it's a good rule of thumb to always shoot the upper body especially when you have a powerful sniper gun. Good info by the way. Will have to try out.

yeah, it's pretty useful stuff. you'd recommend the sv-98 over the scout though? is it actually more powerful? i'd think it is, i mean it has a muzzle break, the scout doesn't. but they're both technically listed as 10 damage. is the sv just like a 10+ damage?

one more thing, i've hit people in the chest with the scout and they haven't gone down. do you know how heavy your chest armor has to be to resist one-hit kills from a damage 10 rifle?

Killing the package holder as they try to turn it in is so much fun. Although it really pisses off the other team...
