Can I check my experience?

(besides the bars I mean). I'm already a 5 bar, and I want to know how close I am to ranking up. I know there's no numerical indication (which makes me wonder how people know how many points you need) but my friend said something about a progress bar or something above the bars that will indicate how close you are to gaining another red bar. Is this true? If not, is there any other (confirmed) way that I can check? Thanks

I think that the bars are the only way to tell. I've never been able to see any other way except finding out how many XP you need to rank up and keep a record of how much XP you get after each match to get a rough idea.

you can look at the 5 bars in the 'service record' option once you've just entered the live menu... underneath those 5 vertical bars is a long thin horizontal bar... peeps refer to it as the invisible bar... once that is filled red, you're gonna level up... hope that clears it up for ya...

Ah yes, one of my friends just directed it to me via chat earlier, I was a dumbass to miss it. Anyways, what do you mean by "once that is filled red, you're gonna level up"? When it becomes red will I be gaining a rank or a bar OR after it hits red, one game will get me my next rank or bar?

well say you had 2 bars and the vertical bar was half way full once you fill the vertical bar up you will have 3 bars and so on

I see, well I guess it doesn't matter anyways, I just ranked up to Elite. The only reason I cared was that I was going to do the Elite glitch for some friends, and I wanted to make sure I got a game or two away from Elite. My bar was about 90% filled up so me and the guys thought it'd be at least 3 or 4 games before I ranked up, but unfortunately I ranked up after 1 game

After you go to multiplayer - Xbox Live

Look at player info just below outfitting

and click service record

When you outfit your character there will be a list of things to do. Like equipment, clothes and such. Goto the last one on the list and when you press A you will see "Service Record". Now select this one and it will show you how many bars you have and it will show the infamous "invisible bar".
