How to do the Elite Rank Glitch in Rainbow Six Vegas

Hey, I've read the first couple pages but I still don't quite understand. These are the 3 achievements:

Basic Training - Achieve the rank of Private 1st Class
Officer - Achieve the rank of Lieutenant 2nd Class
Best of the Best - Achieve the rank of Elite

Do they have to be done in order? I mean do you need to use the glitch account that is the rank before Private 1st Class, then the one before Lieutenant 2nd Class, then the one before Elite? I ask because I saw some people saying they didn't get the Best of the Best achievement so I'm wondering. Also, just for curiosity's sake, what are the names of the ranks before the achievement ranks?

I guess this kind of thing isn't generally frowned upon around here (I'm new btw), but I will say that I (personally) would probably opt to do this legit, but I'd like to work on other games, not to mention I just finished one of the crappest games 100%, GRAW. I actually spent the couple of months getting those damned leaderboard achievements. I'm burned out

"Once you see the desired rank, join any game, ANY game. Play the entire match, anything that will give you points. This will make the new rank permanent.
now go to the multiplayer lobby with the glitched account, and join any game, any game at all. you must play at least ONE game that gives you points to marry the elite account to your account permanently."

Also, this part right here confuses me. The first two lines make sense, but then it seems he's saying the same thing over again underneath, but I don't know what he means by "marry the elite account to your account permanently."

I have heard several guys online arguing about whether or not you have to play a match after the log out/log in and if so which account do you play it with. Sorry if this is already clearly explained.

This is incredible if "I" can get it to work. But will it work with one account on a memory card and the other on the HD?

I'm always wondering how the first one discovers such glitch.. I want to use the glitch too because I'm not that good online and I want all the weapons and stuff

I'm loving being Elite, I'm thinking alot of people used the glitch cus there are alot of Elites out there.

I did this last night and used my old profile name which was Major, so it's ranked me up to Major from Private First Class on my new GT fine yet i havn't got the achievement for 2nd Luitenant, is there anyway i can either re-set my rank so i can get the achievement properley or am i now unable to get the 2nd luitenant achievement and and others before Major if there is...

I have a quick question. I want to have my equipment unlocked, but I also want my achievements. To earn my achievements, will I have to get a sergeant major, then go to 2nd Lieutenant to unlock it, or will skipping right to Elite unlock me the officer and elite achievements? I'm having a hard time understanding because a guy told me that he got two achievements upon skipping right to elite, but I'd think that you'd have to upgrade to the 2nd Lieutenant to trigger the achievement.

Any help?

no...u have to be a seargent major and then a colonel in order to get the achievements
