Run GTA and other 2.0 Games on A 1.5 FW

In this tut I will show you how to run GTA. and other games on a FW 1.5. First of many games will require you to update your FW for a certain game to run. Sencie you don't want to part with your emulators and other homebrews just for gta. There are some programs out there that will trick your psp into thinking its a higher firmware. But I have had no luck with those. Also I here some have a change of bricking your psp. SO were going to use some homebrews to run a gta Iso and a Gta umd.

You will need a GTA iso from here. Note: you have to be premium to get this. If you don't have premium then go to a torrent site and find one. YOu want the ISO in one file though. So it needs to be a big one file iso. Around 817 mb.

Now you will need to get MPH loader.

Next you will need a UMD emulator. Get it for here.

Note: The read me first file in the umd emulator will be in "file" format. When it askes what program to open it with just choose: Internet Explorar.
Just fallow the readme file to install these two things.

If you got the file from the premium section then you don't need to do this but if you got this from a torrent then you may need to do this.
Step 2: [PC] - Run [ UMDGen.exe ] Get from here. http://www.psp-tribe.com/downloads.p...&id=1&file=232
- Click [ File > Open... ] and browse to your (uncrypted) GTA:LCS ISO file and Click [ Open ]
- Right Click the CD icon [ Root ] and click [ Extract All... ]
- Select a folder to extract the files to and click [ OK ].
- Close [ UMDGen.exe ]

Step 3: Download decrypt 2.00 prx and install it in the psp just how you did with the other two files up above. File found here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/325
- Open the folder where you have just extracted the GTA:LCS ISO.
- Find the folder [ PRX2_0_0 ] (..\PSP_GAME\USRDIR\)
- Copy this entire folder to the [ crypted ] folder in the root of your PSP. If you don't have a "crypted folder then make one in the root of your memory stick and but your prx2_0_0 into it.

Step 4: [PSP] - Run [ Game > Memory Stick > Decrypt 2.00 PRX ]
- Wait for the program to finish and use the [ Home ] button to return to the menu.

Step 5: [PC] - Copy the [ PRX2_0_0 ] folder from your PSP back to the extracted ISO folder and overwrite
the old folder (..\PSP_GAME\USRDIR\)
- Run [ UMDGen.exe ]
- Select *all* the files you extracted from the ISO (including the new [ PRX2_0_0 ] folder
and drag them into the [ UMDGen.exe ] window.
- Select [ Files > Save... ] and choose a location for your new ISO and click [ OK ]
- Wait for the program to finish and close [ UMDGen.exe ]
Step 6: [PC] - Copy the new ISO to the [ ISO ] folder in the root of your PSP.

Now Run UMD Emulator; pick GTA.iso (or whatever game you're running).
It's not going to load; Press HOME to go back to your PSP main menu screen; Run MPH Game Loader. After you do this sequence the Game will Boot and run. Also make sure you have a umd in the psps umd drive. The umd emulator requeres a umd to be in the drive. I just use my bonus disk that came with my psp. Also whenever you put that in it will now run that insteed of the normal content on the umd. If you want the normal content back then just go into umd emulator (with a umd in) and hit Trangle.

I havew never tried this but just make sure you have the new mph loader and just put your umd in to your drive. Then load up mph loader. Now you don't need to even take up space on your memory card.
Also if someone is have problems with decripting the prx2_0_0 file just Pm me with the file and ill do it for you.
