Downgrade firmware 2.71--->1.50 [=

Ok, in this tut i will tell you how to downgrade 2.71 firmware to 1.50. You may ask why you would want to do that, simple, homebrew, fresh sweet homebrew. With psp homebrew you can put cool apps, and even burn games to your memory stick and more! If you have 2.71 or lower but not 1.50 upgrade to 2.71. So far there are some other downgraders but i like this one for 2.71

Here is a file with all you need (updater and downgrade file to put on PSP).

THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE A TA-083 motherboard. You can check if you have one by looking here. If you try with a TA-083 motherboard, you will brick your psp




Ok. Now once you upgraded to 2.71, Open up the file "downgrade271" or something like that that i gave you in the download. Drag the "d.bin" and "downdater" folder into the root of you PSP. The root of your PSP is when u first open your PSP on ur comp and you see the "PSP" folder and the other locked one, thats your root. Drag those 2 files into there. Now take the photo file in the PSP folder and go to PSP>PSP>PHOTOS and put the FILE not folder, FILE in there.

Now disconnect your PSP and plug it into a charger.

Now Turn it on and go to photos and click and you should get a frozen screen like this.



^doesnt have to be red..

If your PSP turns off dont worry, it just means the downgrader failed. Keep doing this untill you reach a pure red screen like this.



It will work so dont worry, it just takes patients and depends how lucky you are. It will work 1/10 trys.

If your PSP just stays frozen for over 2 minutes and does nothing, pull out the charger and take out the battery and try again.

Once the screen turns pure red it means its downgrading and once it’s done it will shut off. Wait 30 sec and turn it back on. When you turn it back on you should go into a screen like this.



HAHA i just messed up ur PSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JK

just press O and your done!

Now see if it worked by going to settings-system settings-system information.

Where is the Root Folder?

It's when you click your PSP Icon, like E:\ before you click any other folders, that's the root.

That is a program and a tutorial with a voice over. Its an easy downgrader, works great.
