I will also post how to downgrade from 2.71 to 1.50 or something Well in this tut i will teach you how to fix/clean your PSP LCD screen. My PSP is so damn dusty but i dont care because i barely use it and i dont like to clean it. * means its optional IF your psp triggers fall off, dont worry, just put them back on and make sure u put them back on BEFORE you put the faceplate back on ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Supplies: PSP *New LCD PSP screen (if you need to replace it) Phillips #000 screwdriver Flat headed screwdriver *Compressed air (to take the dust out off the PSP... My PSP is so dam dusty) *Non flit or whatever cloth to wipe the LCD screen Tray to keep screws and other stuff in And last, you need a soft surface (i use a bandanna) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Ok lets get started. 1. Take out our battery, UMD game, and memory stick. Now in your battery socket, unscrew these screws. ![]() 2. Now go to the right of the PSP logo and unscrew the hidden screws in the holes. ![]() 3. Now go under the PSP logo and unscrew the silver screw. ![]() 4. Turn your PSP over and lift up the faceplate. ![]() * IF YOU ONLY NEED TO CLEAN THE SCREEN, CLEAN IT AND MOVE ON TO STEP 19 * 5. Go to the tanish thing under the LCD screen and insert your flat headed screwdriver into the slot shown and push forwards. The tanish thing should lift off the psp. ![]() ![]() 6. There should still be a little belt attached to the PSP, go to the socket that the belt is in and you should see a little flap, This is what the flap looks like. 7. Take your flat headed screwdriver and lift the flap up and pull out the belt. 8. Now go to the right of the LCD screen and there should be a little gap, stick your flat headed screwdriver into the lower part of the gap and push the screwdriver down to the right. ![]() 9. Now do the same at the top of the gap (bad pic) ![]() 10. Turn your PSP upside down so its not pointing the right way but it is still on its back. Now Lift the LCD screen up and lay it like this. ![]() 11. Now go to the fat belt and lift up its flap and pull out the belt. ![]() 12. Do the same for the thin belt (sry i forgot to take a pic) 13. lift up the LCD screen so its completely detached from the PSP. ![]() 14. Now lets put all this crap back together. If you have a new LCD screen, take it out and take the thin belt and stick it into the socket and push DOWN the flap so its secure. ![]() 15. Do the same for the fat belt. ![]() *BEFORE YOU PUT THE LCD BACK INTO ITS HOLDER, SPRAY YOUR COMPRESSED AIR IF YOU HAVE ANY* 16. Carefully push the LCD screen back into its "holder". Heres a pic of my PSP on. ![]() 17. Take your tanish thing and put the belt back into the socket. ![]() ![]() 18. Close the flap of the socket and push the tanish bar back on the bottom of the LCD screen. ![]() * SPRAY COMPRESSED AIR AGAIN! * 19. Put the faceplate on and screw back the screws into the PLACE WHERE THEY WERE WHEN YOU TOOK THEM OUT. Have fun! -Justl2003 | ||||||
