A softmod for a PSP slim ??

Ok i just bought the Psp Slim White with vader on the back. Now I want to mod it. About 2 years ago i softmodded my old PSP to play games off the memmory stick but what im hearing is i can only go with the pandoras battery. Im a little sketchy on the whole pandoras battery i understand the concept of it . I watched some videos but it seemed like they were taking psp Fat batteries and putting them into the slims. Is it possible to do it with my Battery Which is the sony psp batterypack 3.6v 1200 mAh. And i also have version 3.9 on my psp. So if i do go with pandoras do i downgrade it to a lower version and what version would that be. I rather do some research before i go deystroying my battery and having to replace it for 50 bucks.

thanks

If your battrery is an official sony battery it will work because the fat battery can fit into a slim. now if your spare battery is a fat battery my suggestion is you cutting off a leg to the chip inside the battery and dumping the pandora files into your memory stick.
Most pandora apps will go to 3.71m33-2 but you could get one that goes straight down to 1.5

slim doesn't go to 1.5. i think you add a 1.5 kernel but you cannot add 1.5 firmware

no you can go down to 1.5 on a slim but with 3.40 stuff aswell.

as for the thread starter.I have a modded psp slim with 4.01m33-2 on it. You can make a pandoras battery out of the slim and it is much easier. You can also turn it back to normal with a pencil line. I'm sure that there would be a tut out there somewhere that explains how to do it with pics. just search around.

Re: A softmod for a PSP slim ??

I don't recall that cutting a leg off of the chip works.

It makes no sense. Why would a hardware mod, change the software?...

Do you understand what I mean?

It just doesn't make any sense..

I would advise just buying a battery converter from codejunkies, just to be safe..

A lot of the youtube videos are fakes too.

Cutting off the leg,By that they mean there is a tiny little peg on the battery that is taken off to make the battery fit better I suppose.
