| I am going to be getting a PsP slim in the next few weeks and I have a few questions. 1: Do you need anything special, such as firmware or programs, to play Iso's and Movies that are downloaded? 2: What firmware version is the PsP at right now? 3: Is it all worth it buying and modding a PsP? 4: Give me your thoughts on your likes and dislikes of the PsP. 5: What are the custom firmwares and what do they do? Im not sure if you buy a PSP what firmware it comes with, you download all the ISO's from PSP websites, and just download movies from limewire then convert them with PSP video 9 to an .mp4 format so its playable on the PSP. 2. 3.90 3. Depends, if you are going to play regular PSP games then no, but if your going to play a lot of ISO's then yes. 4. Love it like a brother, don't have any dis-likes except the battery life sometimes runs out fast. 5. PlayStation Portable homebrew - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. That should answer all your questions. NOTE: You don't need a custom firmware to play movies on your PSP, and last but not least, id recommend getting a 4 or 8 gigabyte memory card if your going to put movies on there. EDIT: If you choose to get a slim PSP, and put a custom firmware on it, NEVER EVER run the network update on custom firmwares 3.71m33-4 and below!! | Ok so I've made the Pandora Battery by opening the battery and removing the pin and made the Pandora Memory Stick with the TOTALNewbi easyInstaller and everything. The PSP green light turns on by itself when I insert the battery into the PSP. but the promt that I see in the online videos does not promt onto my PSP. Just the green light turns on, the screen does not. Does anyone know how to help me? Last edited by Deez; 04-02-2008 at 02:22 PM. | ||||||
