PSP modding

So i bought 2 psp's,1 slim and 1 fat from a friend,the slim is running a 6.00 firmware and the fat is running a firmware version of 5.51. I've googled till my eye's bled and the tut's i've found would confuse a rocket scientist.

Now im new to modding psp's and i find they seem to be much more software/firmware in depth then when modding a 360,im aware of making a pandora battery and memory stick for it but im just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of a decent well explained thread on how to mod both of these lil (soon to be) jewels.any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
