All you PS3 haters out there!
Wellll, I've had my PS3 now for about 2 weeks; I got the 80gb Metal Gear Solid Bundle one. I have to say I was a bit ify on whether or not I should buy. You have to understand, I'm a HUUUUGGGEEEE Xbox fan, "I'm your number 1 fan ooohhh!" You get it? I love the 360. So, I was debating whether or not it was worth $499? Well the answer is, absolutely 100%, YES! Let me explain:

The PS3 offers so much more than what people think. To start this off, the most underrated feature is it's blu-ray player. Okay, so you say, I don't have a $2000 TV that can support the full HD, but who cares. You have to look into the future. Remember when the original Xbox came out? Games were only using about 4gb of space (single layer DVDs). Very soon after, you couldn't find a game that wasn't 7+gb on a dual layer. My point: blu-ray offers 25gb on a single layer and 50gb on a dual layer. Just imagine what a game like gears of war would be like with 50gb of space available. Also, don't forget, if you do have that $2000 TV, its one of the top 3 Blu-Ray players on the market.

Next, you go into games selection. I have four words for you, "Metal Gear Solid 4". Let's just say, it's probably the most FUN game I've ever played. Better that Call of Duty, better than Halo (yes, in ways it is), better than anything I can think of. You can argue all you want, but it is truly an amazing game. It the PS3's Halo, it WILL sell consoles. Also, once again look into the future: Killzone 2, Resistance 2, GTs...etc

Now, I have to say one thing about the console. PSN (Playstation Network) is no where near as good a XBL, and never will be. But once you join a game, you can't tell the difference. And in my opinion, that's all the matters, the content.

Soooooo, I really wrote this to say, it's time has come. PS3 is no longer the trailing system. Just becuase it got drafted 171 overall, doesn't mean it won't be one of the best in the game. (P.D.)

Only reason I would consider buying a ps3 is for the bluray player. Other than that, I'm not really interested in a new gaming system.

well you get an equivalent to about a $1000 dollar player and if you get the 40gb it would only be $399. Plus you get the support from Sony where you can just download new firmware for it.

I agree with you the Ps3 is great people just push it aside because of the lack of games and online play but once it does get it's big titles out it'll be worth the money and the Blu-ray is worth it on it's own

Yea your right a bout the blue ray disc size vs the xbox 360 disc size huge difference. In 2 years max all the Xbox360 games will be maxing out their disc's. This is the reason I want to buy a PS3 because it will be a good console in 10 years where as the 360 won't.Theres just on thing right now holding me back from a PS3 and it's the Controller it blows compared the the xbox 360
