You're basically contributing to a testing part of the games development. You're getting to see and play something normally only the people on the inside of the games development get to see and play. When a developer releases a beta for public testing (playing) it can be for many reasons. Helping with the testing and building a hype machine are two of them. Beta yes means that it's out there for testing to see how people react to it, good feedback means they'll keep it the way it is, bad feedback will mean back to the drawing board. And like Sub-Xero said, open beta's are uncommon when they're such great franchises like MGS. But MGO was a newer addition to MGS, and they just felt the need to put it out there, I for one wasn't going to argue with it, but play it, which is what I did. | ||||||
