PS3 to outsell 360 next year

Electronic Arts has predicted that the Wii will remain the dominant platform in the West in 2008, but that the PS3 will enjoy better sales than the 360.
According to sales predictions issued by EA, the Wii will continue to dominate hardware sales in both North America and Europe, predicting that Nintendo’s console will sell between 12 and 14 million units during 2008.
However, the race for second place looks like it will be an interesting one, with the PS3 predicted to sell between 9.5 and 11.5 million units in the West this year, whereas the 360 will “only” manage 6-8 million during the same timeframe.
It seems that this shift in fortunes is going to be down to Europe. According to EA’s predictions, 5-6 million PS3s will be sold in Europe this year, compared to 6.5-7.5 million Wiis and 1.5-2.5 million 360s.
In North America, EA reckons the both the 360 and PS3 will sell around 4.5-5.5 million units each, while the Wii will sell around a million more.
More importantly, with EA forecasting that only 3.9-4.9 million PS2s will be sold this year in the West – noticeably less than the next-gen formats – it seems that the games market is well on its way to moving on from the last generation of console.

yea becuase everyone already has a 360 or two, not becuase it has good games becuase it doesn't. I mean seriously sony, you can't even get GTA4 for the ps3 only your a joke.

Not gunna happen. 360 will sell most software and as for units -the Wii dont matter cos its just a casual gaming piece of **** and I say the next-gen wars will eventually be won by PS3 or 360- not Wii.

I can definitely see that the PS3 will outsell the 360. Face it boys, the 360 is a underpowered piece of junk that has to be sent in for repairs more than a 30 year old junker car. (Im sure this will get deleted soon being as i am not praising the microsuck corp and its garbage it puts out) But anyways, maybe microsoft can save its *** if it actually fixes the RROD. Who knows?! all i know is that my ps3 has given me more satisfaction in the fact that it has more features, is faster and more dependable than the OTHER console. OH did i mention that it has better graphics too? OH WAIT, is FASTER! i guess i did mention that. lol. 360 SUCKS and the people who continue to support it are boneheads who are more into the popularity contest than they are about their gaming experience. lol...... SUCK ON 360!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad 95% of the PS3s games suck. The only beneficial part to buying a PS3 is the Blu Ray player

I don't care how many times my 360 breaks down and has to be sent back, I would play it ANY day over a Gaystation

lol.. i expected such a response. only good games are the ones that are also on the 360? hmmmm. i beg to differ, but then again i have a ps3 and had 4 360's before figuring out that i was being taken advantage of by microsuck. Therefor i think that being as i am speaking from experience and not from bias. How about this? Try keeping an open mind instead of just going with the crowd. Just because your friends think the 360 is cool doesnt make it so. I used to think the same way about the 360 till i ACTUALLY gave the PS3 a trail run and found that it is actually pretty cool. I mean come on man, microsuck has got that thing locked up so tight that there are nuns that are more loose. Its not only the RROD that makes the 360 suck, its the way CRAPPY service that you get from them, NOT to mention that the only good games that are on the 360 are ALSO on the PS3! hows that for an argument

LOL i couldn't agree more...give the PS3 a trial guys...you will be impressed- there is some good games on there on both consoles but i think the superior technology of the PS3 makes it more worthwhile to play it on there...

The reason why everyone loves the 360 compared to the PS3 is because the PS3 has absolutely no good games that the 360 doesn't have. The PS3 is a good system, i'm not going to lie, it just doesn't have any good exclusive games, on the other hand, the Xbox 360 is the complete opposite.
