the online is good, the only bad thing is that not enough people own the games
the games are good and so is the ps3, but the online is going to be better

personally i like PS3 online service better then live. Yeah live is good and all that, but you can't beat free. And I can't justify paying money every month to play a game online, what a crock of ****. Doesn't stop me from playing my 360 everyday tho

I only have a 360 at the moment and my roommate has a Wii. But, as far as the PS3 goes - I'm sure it's a great system, but until it comes out with more games, I'm not sold on the idea of forking over a fortune to buy it just to play a few select games while the 360 seems to be quite the collection already for me to dive right into. Plus, if I want a workout and build some sweat, I'll just play some Wii Sports. Ha, ha!

Well it depends what your into. I think that Ps3 is better for adventure games like Uncharted or Assassins Creed (if you like that keep the ps3), while 360 is better for shooting games like COD4 or RSv (if you like that keep the 360).^_^

Just joined the forum today and sadly I probably wont be visiting again

I was a big 360 player, had well over 100 games, But due to my fiirmware modified console getting banne doff live I went and got myself a PS3..

Sadly It's gonna fall on death ears, because this thread especially seems to be packed with 360 fanboys,
But having owned both (and having onwed a 360 whcih cost me about £1 per game to paly)

I'm much happier with my Ps3, even though I'm spending £30-£40 per game...
Sure I could go on about Blue-Ray, the fact that HD-DVD is falling by the way-side, and retailers have already shifted to Blue-ray after all but 2 movie studios ave left HD-DVD in dire trouble
((the console wars may not be over, But the HD Format wars won, and simply waiting for the white flag ((the last 2 studios shifting to Blue-ray when there hd-dvd exclusivity contracts run out))

Furtunatly the 360 will still have DVd, and that's just abotu saved the console, But more are clicking on that the Ps3 offers so much more,
I have YD Linux, 120gb hdd (which cost me £45 brand new & delivered (usual price compared to 360's over-inflated charges for Hard-drives)


But even those who waste there time flaming my post, come 6 months time, when the PS3 has left the 360 behind, You'll be wishing you'd listend

Obviously everyone (should)know that Blue-ray has a major edge over HD-DVD,
those who are a little clever may even know that it's now about a dozen industry specialists which have claimed the Ps3 will nto just catch the 360, but leave it standing.

Those that hate the PS3 usually cant afford one

those that can, get one and never look back

Yeh the 360 is alot a better than PS3 but I say if your gunna buy two make it 360 and PS3. 360>PS3>Wii. And remember- Alan Wake, Halo Wars, Fable 2, Splinter Cell, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, GTA 4 exclusive episodes, the promised unannounced exclusives and of course... XBOX LIVE. As for PS3 games- we all want MGS4 but I think Killzone will fail and will get its *** kicked by gears 2

now i own both, and im not fanboy (i love heavenly sword just as much as COD4 on 360)
but by the time the ps3 costs that little, then the 360 will br like $100

and that wont be for at least 4 years

now i do agree that the PS3 has much more potential than the 360, the games library plain sucks nuts, there really are only a few good games out right now. but looking into 2008, PS3 should see quite a few excellent games boosting its popularity.

While the PS3 will be a lot more useful in the future, the online gaming domain will never outgrow xbox live, it is just too populated.

I have both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. PS3 is amazing if your a networker. You can install different operating systems (linux based) stream videos and all that other fun stuff. But the 360 has a bigger online community and probably most of your friends have a 360 and not a ps3. So its pretty much depends on what you want to use it for..MGS4 is awesome, killzone 2 is going to be amazing so look at the games that are coming out for it. I can honestly say Xbox 360 is better (for gaming) but for everything else PS3 all the way.

anyone that doesn't own one, try it before you bash it. I hated it until I bought one and now i think its awesome. It is well worth it.

I just want to let you know that you really cant compare a third person shooter with an FPS they are 2 different type of games Gears is awesome I will give you that but Killzone is an amazing FPS. i love it when 7sins keeps deleting my anti360 comments! its sooo ****ing cool to be censored. anyways, i had a 360 and currently have a ps3 and can say that the 360 sucked *** on a daily basis. if i am not mistaken, i think it sat in the shop more than it did being played. death to the 360 and make way for the ps3 god!

I've got both consoles agian.

had 150 360 games, Now cut down to 40, and while I only have 18 ps3 games at the moment, I keep asking myself,

why am I never playing the 360.................

sure the 40 games I have are possibly 40 of the top 50-60 games available, and I have gold live, 68+ friends online and plenty of time on my hands,

But with new cross platform games identicle on both platforms, and if there is a differance, games are now becoming better on the PS3 as appose to the other way around..

Tbh, Xbox 360 reminds me of PES...
Sur eit used to be far superior, But now only the Fanboys Love it, and half seem to be too stupid to notice the facts, and the competition is now better (fifa / ps3)

Actually, a friend was saying the other day, that PS3 owners seem to use facts in the console wars, a more powerful console still nto running at it's highest capabilities, free and fully functional gaming without numerous extra costs.

And the Xbox 360 fanboys simply use "The 360 is best" as there argument,

Fact is, How many people who own and play both prefer the 360, Because the 15-20 people I know all prefer the PS3

Great for you, (I didnt mention the ROD recently) although Microsoft do admit that they still have problems (I know of two people who have returned there Elite's)

And While you go and play Gears & Halo, I would play resistance, motorstorm etc,,, But th ePs3 has other AAA titles that have actually been release dint he last year.
