This is gonna be a pretty easy tutorial anyone can follow.
Here's what you're going to be making:

1. Click File > Import > File and import any any image on your PC. The more colorful and brighter the better.

2. After the image opens in the Project window drag and drop it to the timeline and it'll open in the composition window.

3. Go to Composition > Composition settings and edit the length of your comp to 15 seconds.

4. Click on the image you just dropped in your timeline and go to Effects > Stimulation > CC Mr. Mercury then Effects > Distort > CC Lens. Both will open up in the effects window.

Your composition should go blank but if you drag the time indicator forward you can see the effect start to take place.

5. Slide the time indicator back to the beginning and set a keyframe on the "Size" option for CC lens by clicking on the clock icon. Set another one at the 12 second mark by right clicking on the "Size" option and selecting "Add keyframe"

6. Go to the 15 second mark (the end) and double click on the value for the size option. (Which should currently be at 50.) Go ahead and edit the number to 0.

7. Go to CC Mr Mercury and set the Animation option to "Twirl."

8.
After that go to File > Save as to save your project file. From there go to File > Export > Add to render queue and either save your project as a PNG sequence where you will then convert the frames into a gif using a frame to gif editor or save it as an Lossless AVI where you will use a video converter to convert it to a webm or any other format and upload it to www.gfycat.com to have access to both the gfy and gif versions for signature use.
