I dont think u can't do infinite health with the save, unless they have a hidden function for infinite health that would be triggered with some code in the save

(That's what i think...)

Does this app edit's money?? I didint checked the app functions, i just used the app to fix the checksum from what i manually hex edited, and now finally 9999999xp and gamepts... TY unknow...

Anyway about checksums, yeah there may be no tuts, but without anyone leading the way there wont be more people discovering checksums , all i found was some crc32 tuts from ps2...

Infinite health is a no-no, all you can do is decrease it.

The app edits and money and points.

You don't need tuts, just research.

Here's what you need to know:

For a checksum to work it requires 3 things :
-A position to start from
-A length to hash
-An algorithm

The hardest part is figuring out the algo. I've found that game devs don't like using CRC32 cause its popular, so they come up with other algos that aren't popular or custom. So the best thing to do would be to familiarize yourself with different algos that you've never heard of. Determining the start is usually as simple as editing the file byte by byte to see where the security starts (mostly start your search at position 4, since most games use the first four bytes for a save id). The security can either be at the beginning or end of a file. So check both. It also tends to be four bytes that change a lot, and they have to be early on, to make the security more efficient.

Also, it is nice to note that sometimes games will go as far as using an encryption or undocumented algo. This is when you will end up having to reverse the xex to find the algo, or to attain the encryption keys which are most likely a resource in the xex file.

This doesn't seem to work. I wanted to give myself a lantern, but it just stays null - empty.

It looks like this:

- Slot: null
------Class: Empty
------Amount: "this is the only part that does change"

What must I do?

Never mind, as soon as you save, then you will see the changes you've made.
(sorry for double posting, but I can't find an edit button anywhere in the message.)

Anyway, I really like using the flamethrower, how do you refill it? and maybe someone can also tell where the edit button is

^You can't refill it without a refilling station, so just put the ammo really damn high. Oh, and I usually replace my knife with a lantern, because if you pull it out and hold aim and fire, your torso spins without the legs moving...weird.

Thanks for the reply Even though I figured it out already 5 minutes after I posted that message I have the flamethrower set to 9999 and it works great! Just a tip, don't hold the right trigger after you press it or else the fire doesn't do anything.

As for editing, I edited the message one time and it doesn't show me that I edited it. I"ll add a screenshot of what I see:

I'm assuming this is for XBOX 360? I wasn't aware editing saves from xbox was possible.

Is there a PC version?

Dear Unknown . i downloaded your program . its very good but i have problem with it .

1 - i cant find Gatling gun on the list .

2 - When i select a Weapon . for example Rocket launcher inf - its show in my inventory as Dummy Weapon .

3 - When i add More Mony , its nothing

i had some problems . "dummy weapons" and my knife showing as gun.

also to those who are new. do not set weapons ammo more than 4 figure number. like dont set it 30493029. the max is 9999.
i love that magnum. just playing this game from the start.

is it possible to upgrade a weapon to the max ? looks like in the early levels i cant max them out even if i have gold coins.
will report more bugs.

bug 1. after editing the first weapon i get 2 knives. instead of my chosen weapon

bug 2. whenever i save ammo as Machine Gun. after saving it turns out as HandGun always. cant change it back to Machinegun Ammo but can change to any other ammo.

dude my knife is an MP5 and its totally annoying I want my knife back but it wont work, also any news on health?

1 - To get the Gatling Gun you must upgrade all of the machine guns

2 - Rocket Launcher Inf is a broken weapon, just select the ordinary rocket launcher and set Amount to 9999 and Maximum to 9999

3 - Money has to me a six figure number "999999" dont bother holding down the 9 key because if you surpass 6 digits it wont recognise it at all

You can upgrade the guns, you just have to play the game a little more, its so stop friends gifting guns to you through online play so you can have a fully upgraded L.Hawk, the game would be too easy for a newcomer to complete. Finish the game and they mod your money and upgrade all of your guns.

Support for this program is dead, which is why I released the source so other people who are interested can update it. Someone at game-tuts made a better version.
