why are ppl griping about campers?

I've been watching some COD4 vids on youtube & everyone one of them has ppl *****ing about campers...

1) it is a legitimate defensive strategy
2) It's what snipers do... deal with it.
3) being able to take out a soldier or team of them who've barricaded themselves in is something to be proud of.

stop whining that other players aren't dumb enough to just run at someone firing with no chance of hitting anyone.

Because camping is a VERY good way of making yourself look like a noob. Plain and simple.

Camping in a spot where you have to check your flanks is fine, but when you stay in a room unaccessible by any other player except through the barrel of your gun it turns from a game of fun into a bore fest.

maybe... but when you barricade yourself into a room with only 1 entry point you're leaving yourself no place to run & pretty much condemning yourself to a grisly death when someone locks you in with C4 or starts chucking grenades in the door one after another.

spawn campers... obviously noob. Actually holding a strategic position is not noobish.

Theres a difference between olding a position and camping, campers make it impossible to do anything, the oly thing you can do is die, which makes for a ****ty game

going by this definition I've only encountered "campers" twice since 1994, spawn campers & teleporter campers in Halo 2. But then again I spent 6 years playing with ppl who all wanna be the sniper who were either IN the military or had military parents.

Half the ppl I played with were either infantry, raised by infantry, or raised by EOD specialists that gave them ideas on planting explosives in games. So it's possible that even though I'm pretty crappy I'm just used to playing against ppl who understand cover & strategy.

I'm also tired of ppl *****ing that I use grenades in RB6 Vegas.

i dont get why so many people complain about campers in cod4, theres kill cam so its not like you cant go to where the killed you before and get them ...
