Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() | Crackdown Achievement Guide The following is a work in progress. When its updated, I will update it here as well. *** ALL CREDIT GOES TO DROGTURIST FOR WRITING THIS GUIDE *** 01: Agency Explosives Expert Bomb your way to a 4-star Explosives rating. This one's self-explanatory and easy. Just keep killing people with explosives. I suggest using the "Firefly" or "Hothead" on large groups of enemies. Once you reach level 4, I find it a good idea to head to Shai-Gen territory and just keep picking fights. There are many groups of enemy soldiers on this island, and they send hit squads after you fast. 02: Agency Athlete Run & jump your way to a 4-star Agility rating. Keep exploring the rooftops to get this achievement. Try going for the highest houses in an area and look down at the surrounding ones. Try to see a good path that takes distance between houses, both verticall and horizontally, into account so you can take them in one path and not have to worry about ones you missed. You should reach 4 stars at 250-300 orbs. 03: Agency Wheelman Accelerate and slide your way to a 4-star Driving rating. There are multiple ways of obtaining driving experience. None of which include "accelerating and sliding", so whoever wrote the achievement description sucks. Method #01: Doing tricks. This is hard if you're low-level. Method #02: Finishing races. Doesn't yield a whole lot of experience, though. Method #04: Running gang members over. This'll give you tons of experience, and will also work toward achievement #07. Try not to run over too many civilians, though hitting a few of them while mowing down gangs won't do too much damage to your experience. Method #05: Finding stunt markers. One marker will give you about the same amount of experience as mowing down a gangster will. 04: Agency Brawler Punch, jab, kick, and throw your way to a 4-star Strength rating. Very self-explanatory. Just go out there and kick some asses. I suggest working on this on the first island, La Muegra or whatever, while the enemies are still easily killed and don't do much damage. This skill levels up very fast. 05: Agency Marksman Hit your target every time to achieve a 4-star Firearms rating. Here's another acheivement description that makes no sense whatsoever. All you have to do is keep shooting enemies and gaining little by little. There's no real trick to it, besides playing time trials after you've unlocked them. I suggest the Los Muertos kingpin, since his level is easy and short and has tons of respawning enemies. It seems distance, headshots and other things that should add to your experience doesn't really do that, at least in any remarkable way. Best to just kill many enemies quickly as opposed to trying to get headshots and such. What weapon you want to use is up to you. Just remember that you can't use the rocket launchers or RPGs, as those count as explosives. 06: Master Agent Earn 4-star ratings in all five skill areas and then max out your Skills Status meters. Once you reach 4 stars in each skill, you will notice that you can keep gaining experience. Once you reach 99 and fill that, it'll flip over and say "--" instead, that's when you know you're finished with a skill. Also note that these take much longer to fill than the regular skill levels did, but it doesn't take unreasonably long. 07: Roadkill King Mow down and massacre 175 gang members while driving. Just mow down some gangsters. Easy. 08: High Flyer Make your way to the top of the Agency Tower. 09: Firing Squad Fire away - shoot and kill 500 gang members using firearms. You'll get this by simply playing through the story. Just remember to mix it up with firearms, explosives (remember that RPGs and rocket/grenade launchers count!) and kicks to get all three achievements. Also try to focus on not using attacks that you've already gained the achievements for. Since you'll probably get #10 first, stop kicking enemies for a while after that. 10: Bare-Knuckle Brawler Kill 150 gang members with your bare hands (or thrown objects). See #09. 11: Mad Bomber Show your explosive personality - kill 500 gang members using explosives. See #09. 12: Untouchable Agent Kill 200 gang members without dying yourself. I did this without trying. I'm not sure if there are any real tips, aside from trying to do it on the Los Muertos island, as it is by far the easiest one. It's possible that doing it in time trials would work (perhaps by repeating the easiest boss over and over), but there's no way for me to confirm that. 13: Body Juggler Use explosives to keep a body up in the air for 10 seconds. Wait until you have the "Firefly" (homing missile launcher dropped by many Shai-Gen soldiers -- often by ones on rooftops), find an unsuspecting pedestrian and keep shooting him. It's almost impossible not to get this achievement with the Firefly. 14: Car Juggler Use explosives to keep a car up in the air for seven seconds. Once you have both the "Hothead" and "Firefly" in your supply points, head to the Agency Keep and get the Supercar. Drive out through exit #1 and stop in the parking lot right outside the exit and get out. Equip the Firefly first and stand a safe distance from the car (about 30 meters) and fire a rocket. Immediately fire another to lift the car even higher, then (while still locked!) run towards the car and get under it, unloading rockets while you go. Once you're out of Firefly ammo, quickly equip the Hothead and fire off one last rocket. That should do it. 15: Hazardous Hangtime Execute a 6-second jump in a vehicle. This method requires 4-star agility, strength and driving levels. By the parking garage mentioned in the description for achievement #17, there's a ramp-truck standing around. It's not far and if you've been to the area before, you probably know where it is. Grab that truck and toss it up on the highway above it. Jump up after it and carry it over to the right (from where the truck was standing) and to the edge of the fence. Position the truck so that you don't have to steer much to get onto it, and point it out towards anywhere you want to land (the road below/amusement park/beach). Go get the Agency SUV and come back. Go down the road in the SUV and turn, and then get your speed up and hit the ramp, remembering to jump while at the peak of the ramp. You will fly high and far and easily get this achievement. You don't get it until you land, so it's possible that you have to actually land on the wheels to get it. You might need a 4-star explosives level to do this. 16: Driving High Achieve a height of 115 feet or more in a vehicle. Here's a really tough one. The description as well as the achievement picture make it sound and look like you need to jump 115 feet, which is a measly height in this game. The achievement is either stupid or glitched, because you get it by doing the following: Warp to "Garcia Point" on Los Muertos territory. Pan the camera to your left from where you spawn, and you'll see a little jeep and a foot or two above it is an elevated area with wooden fences surrounding it. Get in the jeep and drive around the rocks up to the "fenced" area and you will unlock the achievement. What was that, Realtime? 17: Front Flipper Execute two forward flips in a single jump in a moving vehicle. There's a parking garage northwest of the amusement park. It's about 5-6 stories high and has three ramps (all pointing to Stunt Markers). You need to have 4 star driving skill to do this with my method. Get in the Agency SUV and head up there, and launch off the left-most of the two ramps that are close together (the third one is a ways off), heading left. Remember to do a jump (hold B for a second and then release) before you launch and you should clear enough air to just do two flips before you land on the street. 18: Timed Stunt Driver Execute six car stunts in 60 seconds. On Los Muertos island, there is an amusement park to the far south. Right below it is a beach. On the western side of this beach, there are three lifeguard houses, two of which have ramps on the northern side. With 4 star driving skill, keep jumping the ramps and doing barrel rolls (or flips if you get enough air). With the jump and ramp combined, you don't even need a lot of speed to do this. Just use this place to practice your jumping/tricking and you'll suddenly have the achievement as a nice bonus to your added tricking skills. See #20 for a description of how to do tricks. 19: Base Jumper Jump from the top of the Agency Tower and land in the water below. Self-explanatory. Jump off the Agency Tower. If you do the "Leap of Faith" (starts at the bottom of the tower) race, you will get both this achievement and #08 at the same time. 20: Stunt Driver Successfully execute five car stunts - front & back flips, barrel rolls, a long jump. You will get the flips and barrel rolls from doing #18. Just remember that you need to do a left and right roll. Front Flip: Make sure you have enough air, and just push forward on the left stick and hold it down until you have the wheels turned down again. Keep adjusting the jump to make sure you land right. Barrel Rolls: Just jump and hold left/right. Requires much less air than a flip. Back Flip: Needs a little bit more air than the front flip, but uses the same technique. Jump 200 Feet: When you have 4-star driving skills, get the Agency SUV and head out through exit #2 in the garage. Drive as fast as you can and a little bit before you hit the ramp, hold down B and charge up a jump. Time it right and you'll easily get the achievement. Above all for the car tricks, remember to not try and force the car. If you jump and your car starts tilting to the left, don't try to force it into a right roll. It won't work and you'll land on your roof. Pay attention to how the car tilts and you'll have an easier time doing each trick. 21: Orb Hunter Collect 300 Hidden Orbs. See #22. 22. Free Runner Collect 500 Agility Orbs. Yeah...this won't happen until someone scans the guide book map. See #02 for general orb tips. Also remember that orbs make sounds when you're close (within 20 feet at least). Once you've heard them once, you'll know what they sound like. 23: Repo Man Commandeer 100 gang-controlled vehicles. This one sounds easy, but can be pretty tough and seems to be glitched. As far as I can tell, you need to actually rip the thugs out of the car and get in. The car will flash red when you aim at it if it counts. If an enemy manages to get out, it will start flashing blue instead and probably doesn't count. This also means, of course, that you can't do this on parked cars. So, this is really hard to do out in the streets in campaign. Enemies there will almost always get out of the car before you can reach them. The way I did was go into Time Trial and select Diaz. In his garage, some 5 or 6 cars will try to run you over as everybody else in there tries to shoot you. If your levels are high enough, you should be able to run around and commandeer the cars without being hurt too much. If they get out of the cars, ignore that car and move onto the next one. You will quickly notice that the cars spawn in the same spots. One truck behind the left huge pillar inside, and one tuner behind the right pillar. There are also two trucks that spawn inside a garage inside the garage, towards the back wall. These drivers will run into the ramp and kill themselves most of the time, but if you look you'll notice that the trucks still flash red and still count even though the driver is dead. Keep commandeering the cars and kill Diaz, select "Retry Mission" and do it over again. Each run will take you about 1 minute when you get the technique down, and getting this achievement will take you about an hour. Just remember that it seems glitched, as I had far, far above 100 commandeers when I got it. I was probably closer to 200. 24: Los Muertos Intel Master Locate all Los Muertos dossier targets. Obtained by clearing the story missions. Remember to listen carefully to the briefings you'll get now and then. The first ones for each boss will almost always give you a hint as to where he's hiding. If you can't find a boss, just drive around the island and you'll get briefings when in the vicinity of a boss. This can be annoying at first, before you're familiar with the city, but can easily be solved by going to places you know you haven't been. 25: Volk Intel Master Locate all Volk dossier targets. See #24. 26: Shai-Gen Intel Master Locate all Shai-Gen dossier targets. See #24. 27: First Blood Eliminate the first of 21 gang bosses. Find a boss and kill him. Any boss will do. 28: Los Muertos Cleanser Murder Los Muertos - Kill all Los Muertos gang members. This says "kill all gang members" and that can be confusing. All you have to do is take out each gang boss on an island. Once you do so, a "final crime" will be activated. It will show up on your map and HUD as a flashing star. Go there and kill some gang members to clear that gang out and get this achievement. Remember that once you get this achievement, that gang will be gone until you clear the game (and unlock the "Crimes On" option which will bring back all the street thugs). 29: Volk Cleanser Eviscerate the Volk - Take out all Volk gang members. See #28. 30: Shai-Gen Cleanser Assassinate Shai-Gen - Kill all Shai-Gen gang members. See #28. 31: The Trifecta Wipe the city clean by taking out all members of all three gangs. Just do the above three achievements to get this one. 32: Rampage Wreak havoc in 60-second increments. This achievement is divided into sub-achievements. The game will let you know when you've cleared a sub-achievement. Blow up 25 gang-controlled vehicles in 60 seconds. Equip both the Hothead and the Firefly and go to the Shai-Gen islands by car. Run over as many soldiers as you can before your car blows up. Then start throwing grenades at clusters of enemies. What you want to do is provoke a fight and get them to send hit squads after you. When the squads start coming, equip either rocket launcher and aim for the cars. Take out any stragglers with grenades, and just keep blowing cars up with your rocket launchers. You should have this achievement before you even run out of ammo. May take a few tries and may also require a full 4-star explosives ranking. Kill 15 gang members with your bare hands or thrown objects in 60 seconds. This is easiest to do while fighting a boss, preferably a Los Muertos one. Just run around like a madman, kicking people and you'll easily get this one. It's easiest to do when you've got 2-4 stars. Shoot and kill 15 gang members in 60 seconds. See above. Pretty easy. I suggest doing it at the Los Muertos kingpin's (Garcia) house. Remember not to use rocket launchers. Use explosives to kill 25 gang members in 60 seconds. See above, but remember to use rocket launchers. Use a vehicle to kill 10 gang members in 60 seconds. This is very easy to do on the Shai-Gen island. There are many groups of enemies with 4-7 people at the same spot. Just find a place where there are two groups close to each other. Pop 20 tires on gang-controlled vehicles in 60 seconds. To auto-aim at tires, lock on to a vehicle and while viewing the car from the side, press down on the left stick until you get the game to lock onto the wheels (it can be glitchy). Then fire. You may have to re-lock on to the tires after the first one (also glitchy). To get this achievement with this in mind, head to the huge garage where you fought Rafael Diaz. It's in the southwestern part of the northern Los Muertos island, it's the big half-round half-rectangle thing on the map. With the boss cleared out, this area will be devoid of enemies. But there will still be gang cars! There should be at least 6 of them, but you only need 5. Go to the back/right where there's four tuners lined up and shoot out each of their tires, then run back to wherever the other cars have spawned and shoot out four tires on either of the cars there. This probably doesn't require any specific upgrades, but having 4 stars in firearms and agility probably wouldn't hurt. 33: Take Me To Your Supply Point Unlock your first Supply Point. Self-explanatory. Find a supply point and claim it. Supply points are marked on your map with the little maple-leaf-like symbol. 34: It's Good To Be Connected Unlock all Supply Points. See #33. 35: Airtime Assassin Shoot and kill 5 gang members in a single jump (while airborne). Once you have at least 3 stars in agility and explosives, get yourself a Firefly (See #13) and head to the Shai-Gen island. Find a group of at least 5 gang members, but don't let them see you. Get above them on a house of balcony and jump down while aiming down at them. When you get a lock on one of them, fire off a rocket and boom. 36: Shot-putter Throw any object (other than a grenade) 205 feet or more. Once you've beaten the Shai-Gen kingpin, Zuan Lun Wang, stick around in the same place where you just killed him. He is at the top of the Shai-Gen tower in the right-middle of the western Shai-Gen island. It's very close to the Snirpy's (or something similar) supply point. In the garden, there are lamp posts. Kick one down and grab it. Jump up on the pagoda in the middle of the garden. Stand on the edge of the pagoda and face the top of the tower (where Wang was shooting from) and look almost straight up (remember, tossing something makes it go forward no matter where you aim) and jump and throw. Make sure you see the lamp post land somewhere up there and follow it. Once up there, grab the post and repeat the same throwing technique. You might need to have 4 star agility and strength to do this. 37: Global Impact Kill 15 gang members using the Observatory Globe. The "Observatory Globe" is the golden globe that you can find in the parking lot next to the house (observatory, duh) in the northern part of the northern Volk island. It's close to the mines where you killed Romanova, and even closer to the eastern bridge that leads to the Shai-Gen islands. Just shoot the explosives by the globe, pick it up and find you some gang members to throw it on. You might need to have high levels of agility and strength to do this, I can't confirm as I was maxed when I did it. 38: Ring Leader Drive through all of the unique Stunt Markers. There will probably be a map from the strategy guide once that comes out. Other than actually finding the rings, you probably need to find ramp trucks as well. They're regular rigs with big ramps on the back of them and there are a few select spots on the map where you'll always find one. When you've placed the ramp down, go and get the Agency SUV (the ramp should stay in the same place) and jump. 39: Chain Banger Blow up 100 explosive objects in 60 seconds. On the south side of the Los Muertos southern island, there is an amusement park. To the west of it, there are a bunch of wooden houses on the pier, as well as a walkway out to a dead-end with a big house on the pier. Circling both the wooden houses and the big house on the pier are explosive barrels. Position yourself in the middle of the bridge leading out to the big house with the curved roof (I'm not a native english speaker and don't know what that kind of house is called) and fire a rocket from the Hothead into the barrels on the eastern side of the wooden houses. Quickly turn around and fire a rocket at the barrels surrounding the curved roof house. Turn around again, and start running/jumping towards the wooden houses. Try to see, and fire rockets at, any remaining barrels. Fire rockets even if there are only lone barrels standing in corners somewhere. When you've cleared all the barrels out, the first barrels you shot from the bridge should now have had time to respawn. Fire at them to cause a new chain and you'll receive the achievement. This may take more than a few tries and may also require you to have a 4-star explosives rating. 40: Double Trouble Double your fun - complete your first mission in Co-op mode. Just play co-op in any game mode and kill a boss. If neither you nor your friend have any bosses left in the campaign, just pick any time trial boss (you get to choose co-op in TT as well) and kill him. 41: Tag Teamer Partner up and complete every mission in Co-op mode. This is going to confuse a lot of people. There are possibly two ways of doing this, but I can only confirm #02. Method #01: When you and a friend both get the game, make sure neither of you kill any bosses before you start co-oping. Then make sure that neither of you kill any while you're not co-oping, as that will save and if both of you kill the same boss (effectively removing him from the game world in both campaign and co-op), you can no longer kill all of them in a single co-op campaign. This is hard way to do it, so I suggest you don't even tr. Method #02: In the main menu, pick Time Trial and invite a friend. Go through the list and kill every boss in any order you like. If you do this at max level with both players, you can kill almost any boss in under 3 minutes if you rush through it. After you kill the last boss, shouldn't matter which one that ends up being, the achievement will unlock. 42: Road Warrior Successfully complete all 14 Road Races. With a 4-star driving level and an Agency Supercar, these races are a joke. The only trouble is actually finding them, but I'm sure someone will scan a map from the strategy guide. The one race that will give you trouble is "The Alleys of The Den", in the Volk part of town. This is because it was clearly designed by a retarded intern. There's a path that is too thin to fit almost any vehicle that is fast enough to actually clear the race. What you will have to do is drive the Agency Supercar (even though it is too wide at max level) and intentinoally smash into the "pegs" blocking your path. With a little bit of luck, you'll bounce over them and can win the race with only a few seconds to spare. Perhaps this idiotic blunder will be fixed before retail launch, though. 43: Over Our Heads Successfully complete all 12 Rooftop Races. See #42, with the exception that you'll probably need to do these races once to see where you're supposed to go and then do them again under the par time. Even if you know you won't make it in time, keep going and finish the race so you'll learn the way. The race won't end until it times out (takes about 40 seconds of you not getting checkpoint markers) or you clear it, regardless of your time. Like I said before, I won't be bothering to type up exact locations for the races since there will be scanned maps soon enough, but I will say this: most rooftop races are on Los Muertos island, all pretty close together. There are two on the south Volk island, also close together. There is one rooftop race on Shai-Gen island, the northern one. The trickiest and most well-hidden little bastards (since they don't show up on your HUD until you're right on top of them) are the two races hidden in the "back" of the Agency Tower, at ground level. *** ONCE AGAIN, THANKS TO DROGTURIST FOR WRITING THIS *** | ||||||
