Watchmen Hexing?

Hello guys, im new to this site and hexing. so please forgive any ignorance in this post if there is any.

I was going through my arcade games seeing what i could pick apart to open in hex editor and learn. and i came across a Settings file in the Watchmen game for XBLA, and i though to myself, Wow if it were possible to hex the rage bar to stay full or even make it so you dont lose life when hit. that would help soooo much on completing that achievement for running though the game in under 80mins. and in local co-op mode too. So if anyone can help pick apart this Settings file and see what can be done with it, that would be awesome. I have the file if you want to take a look at it just pm and ill send it to you. Problem Xbox live will ban your console.

A lot of hacks will get you banned off of xbox live including cheating...

wow kid dont ever speak about hexing games again, the ban hes talking about is hexing gamerscore to accounts not hexing games, its possible but it would take a lot of research just like it did with cod4 and cod waw

LoL i was wondering what the hell he ment by that then realized he was talking about hexing profiles. No not hexing my profile, just hexing the settings file in the watchmen game. If anyone is willing the give it a go let me know. The file isnt that big eighter so im sure it wont be as complex as hexing GOW and COD. So let me know if your up for the challange.

i will still say fable 2 is easy to hex lol along with themes if you know what your doing but i am not going to say how becuase he is very trusted here and has showed me it

Not to troll but whats the point on posting that if your just going to say its easy but you wont explain how? just to get your posts up? Well if you ever want to break your "code of silence" pm me, i would like to know how to hex themes.

i also said fable is easy and one of the main reasons people wont show you cuz its someone else research and me and a few others learned how to extract images and replaced them from a theme the person made. there is a site that you can sign up at and post 50 times and non spam post and get a theme made for free

You cannot edit the actual arcade game because it is in a LIVE container and we cannot edit those now or ever, as we would have to resign them and we don't have the keys to do so.

hes talking about the con file of his progess so he could have unlimited whatever like in cod4 and cod waw

If it's in a CON file and it's a settings file, it should probably be easy to edit.

Yes its a settings file labeled SETTINGS in caps under the watchmen directory in games. I have the file if you would like to take a look at it. its a fairly small fire too. just let me know and ill send it to you. Like i said before, im sort of new at hexing but i looked at it and didnt find anything out in the open. But again im new to it. So i would greatly appreciate if anyone is willing to take a look i have the file on my desktop. Thanks

small fire? lol also just open it in a hex and look at the top for CON should be the first three letters in the file

Here it is, i made it with winrar. it originally had a .rar extension but i changed it to .zip manually. So if it doesnt open for some reason just change the extension to .rar

And yes it does have con at the top...

Doesn't look that complicated. Plus it's really small. Try searching any stats you may have.

Yea see, thats the harder part of it. There isnt any "REAL" stats. and by REAL i mean you find combo upgrades while playing the game (they are hidden through out the game) Which the combos i couldnt care about because i have them all anyways. But you also have to find cards for the one char. and batters for the other night owl char. But the rage/engery meter grows as you find them. Now the only way i could see hexing working for this game is by maxing out the rage/energy meter so it never drops or drops slower. In other words i wouldnt know where to begin looking to find the meter stats.

Also, is it possible to hex a arcade game itself that doesnt have a save file? like geometry wars, to make you have 99 bombs? or joust to have 99 lifes? if so that would be awsome to learn. Thanks for your help so far unknown.

P.S. if it would help just download the demo for watchmen to see what i mean about the combo upgrades and rage meter. Besides i think its one of the best arcade games out right now too.

I've played the demo. Don't really remember it much.

You can't edit the actual arcade games, because of the LIVE container they are stored in.

Whats different about the live container that it cannot be rehashed? Also, is there anyone who knows how to hex good thats willing to download watchmen to see if they can pick it apart with me? i tryed so many different things and im getting no where.

LIVE containers are signed with a private key we don't have.

*Bump* I'm going to look at my own watchmen save when I get home now, what progress have you guys made? I can make a simple tut for it if possible, and if nothing has been turned up, I'll look at it myself, people most of the time still need tutorials to use their Base Converter and hit Ctrl+F a few times lol.
