How To Ftp To Your Xbox

I use cat5's for mine. You can use wireless if you'd like...I have the wireless adapter for the xbox and that works fine for me...you just need to be able to get a proper network IP to ftp.

Thanks for the info, but for some reason I can't connect via wi-fi. My xbox can't pick up the ip. It just says the network ip is 0.0.0.0, and I KNOW that's not right. Should I just try to connect it to my router directly, or did I really f-up my xbox when I softmodded it?

Sorry about the double post, but the ftping, (still would be nice to be able to do), is only because my friends and I want to play the Killtrocity Mappack. So... if any one knows where we can buy it on a dvd over the internet, it sure would be nice.

You are going to hate me for triple-posting, but I just came up with another quetion and I can't edit me previous post so: When you connect your x-box to your router using a CAT5 cable, was it moddified in any way, or was it store bought? (returned store bought CAT6 for a store bought CAT5)

I have just recently soft modded my xbox with evox and i was wondering how i get all the files like emulators and such onto my xbox? im guessing FTP but how exactly do i find the emulators and use them on my xbox?

Store bought. And with wifi, make sure that you have your IP set to automatic or DHCP.

Look in our emulators and roms section. Download some and then FTP them. For an easier, more up to date package, download AID 3.10.

Ok, that is a good tut, but i'm using the xbl router (the one that came with your xbl) my x-box and my computer to mod. isn't there another way to FTP to your x-box through the wireless? if there is, please message me. if there isn't one on here, and you know where i can get one, please give me the URL to it.

Go into your modded dash like it says. You must change your IP from STATIC to DHCP and make sure you click SAVE AND EXIT after you've changed it.

You can through wireless, its the exact same set up and steps...just instead of wires you have the wireless adapters. And please stop using the large, color text formatting.

Thanks man it worked! But now i need a M$ dash to FTP to my box because for some reason i backed it up but i cant get to it. (Same mistake i made last time i tried soft modding) xD

Did you follow my SID 4.0 tutorial? If you did, then you just have to hit the eject button to get the ms dash. Don't attempt anything before asking about it...thats how beginners fry their xbox's.

i didnt follow you SID tut cause i couldnt get ANY gamesaves to go on my AR, i used one from codejunkies and i think thats the problem lol, could you tell me how to get the gamesave to go on my Action reply so i can redo it possibly?

You should still have the game save on your Xbox. Just load it back up with the game you used and go to UNINSTALL SOFTMOD...if thats not an option since thats prolly a really old gamesave, then do RESTORE MS DASH. Then try to get the files for my tutorial.

So I should ignore the fact when i goto Restore MS dash or w.e. and click it it says this erases my C drive?

Edit: OK now i have another prob, i turn on the xbox, and it goes to Updating xbox, then it says it cannot connect to Live! What is going on?
