How To UN-SOFTMOD

*-Anything about maps is mainly related to Halo.-*

This is very simple but helps for those people that want to get rid of their mods.

Materials needed:
-The original game you used to SOFTMOD.
-Some Patience and Time.

Here’s What You Do:
-Remove any/all mods that are on your Xbox Hard drive. If they are modded maps replace them with clean maps.

*Hopefully you saved copies of the clean maps if you, modded any maps, because if not have fun downloading them when your done with this!*

-Now put your game you originally used to Softmod in and boot up your Xbox.

-Load the Linux profile and get to the dashboard.

-There will be a little “Uninstall Softmod” option, pick it.

-Your backed up EEPROM and MS DASH will be restored once you have done the last step in this tutorial.

*You can un-softmod your Xbox and still have the modded maps on the Xbox. The maps will still work.*

-If you did not backup your clean maps then just boot up your Xbox and download them again.

***** Word to the wise: *****
-Boot your Xbox offline before going online and make sure all modded maps are taken off the Xbox. Then you can go online and download the fresh maps.
-If you replaced your modded maps with the clean maps..
---Boot your Xbox offline and make sure all maps are clean.
*YOU DO THIS BECAUSE IF EVEN ONE MINOR MODDED MAP IN ON YOUR HARD DRIVE YOU CAN GET BANNED!!*


Now you can just literally delete everything off of your HD via the MAIN MENU, but I find this more fun.

I was just wondering will this work if you have XBMC as your main dash and if you remove all application and halo 2 from your box will this work?!?!??

the only thing you need to do is get the organl maps on the xbox and go to the restore ms backup
