XD In this tut I will show you how to skin objects on crysis just as you would skin them on Halo or Halo 2. Things you will need: 1. Crysis (duh) 2. A CPU able to run Crysis 3. WinRar 4.Paint.net or Photoshop (with DDS plugin) Ok now that you have everything let's begin... Step 1. Go to Computer then go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game and find the file that says object.PAK Step 2. Right click object.PAK and select properties and change the default program to open the file to WinRar. (You may have to browse to find WinRar) Step 3. Copy-paste objects.PAK to your desktop. That will be the Original that we DO NOT mod. (To keep you from modding it accidentally I would right click it, hit properties, then check the hidden box. That way, you won't accidentally mod that one. To unhide it you would just go to "View"->"File and Folder Options"->"View" tab->"Show Hidden Files and Folders." For Vista, "Ogranize"->"Folder and Search Options"->"View" tab->"Show Hidden Files and Folders. (b^_^)b) Step 4. Create a folder named "Objects" on your desktop and now pick any DDS texture file you want to mod in Crysis in "objects.PAK" in the Crysis folder, and extract it to "Objects." Step 5. Now open Paint.Net/Photoshop and open the DDS file in the "Objects" folder, and then mod it however you like. Step 6. When you are done editing, open objects.PAK in the "Game" folder of Crysis with WinRar. Then go to the correct area where you extracted the file from in the first place and right click then select add to selected archive. Go to desktop then Objects then find the object you edited and want to re-insert into Crysis and hit Select or w/e. (The time to compress the file takes longer or shorter depending on its size and how good your PC runs) Step 7. After you do that, go into either Crysis or Sandbox Editor2 and place whatever you modded. It should look like how you modded it in Paint.Net/Photoshop. And that's it, you're done! If you ever have a mod go bad, or you dont like it, just extract the original file from the objects.PAK that you put on your desktop and place it where it belongs. (If the original object.PAK on your desktop is hidden, follow the steps in parentheses on Step 3 to unhide it) Comment Plz ![]() ################################################## ###### # Tutorial made by Cheif Tiger # ################################################## ###### ######### (b^_^)b ########## ################################################## ###### ########################### ################################################## ###### ################################################## ###### ################################################## ###### I don't know how to edit posts so... things I missed: Step 6. (add this after "when you are done editing") Click Save and overwrite the previous image. Also, you have to be in high quality on the Sanbox Editor2 to see the skins.
